I have been feeling this little one for weeks now, but about four days ago my 11yo son got the first chance to feel him or her, too. :joyIt was just the sweetest thing.

This one has decided to make herself known in the evenings. I swear she was having a party in there last night! I even tried to get DH to come over and feel her moving like crazy but she would stop every time he put his hand on me. The movement I'm feeling makes me wonder just WHAT she is doing in there. If I had to guess I'd say some sort of 80's jazzercise with lots of jazz hands.

I started feeling movements around 16 weeks. I may have felt some earlier, but this being my first pregnancy, I wasn't sure. Now at 20 weeks I feel the baby often and it is sooo fun! I think I might have to have 5 or 6 kids just to feel this again! (Shhh! My partner still thinks I'm a two kid kinda gal).

At yoga class and at acupuncture baby really starts moving. Also when it feels its daddy close by. We're so excited for the day when he can feel it moving too!

Im 21 weeks today. We totally just SAW baby girl move!!! I was just lying here and hubby was lying next to me asking me what I wanted for lunch and we both saw my tummy jerk with a big kick! So then I pulled up my shirt and she did it twice more! Wow! SO SO incredible! <3

Awesome beanbean! I remember with our 1st I could just sit and stare at my belly for hours once she really started moving around. It's especially cool later in pregnancy when you watch your belly changing into these funny different shapes. So strange yet cool!

I am now feeling the beginnings of movement at 17 weeks - a week earlier than last time =)  It is very sporadic and mild - a couple times before bed. However, that was my experience last time too, and my daughter is one of the most physical of her peers.

Just wanted to post a little reassurance for those who feel movement later...I am now about 22 weeks with #3 and didn't really feel consistent, noticeable movement until about 20-21 weeks.  I have an anterior placenta and (compared to my other two pregnancies) maybe a somewhat calm baby.  It was frustrating not to feel much until recently so hang in there if anyone else is in the same boat!  Still looking forward to having my hubby feel this little one move.

I have an anterior as well and hit 21 weeks yesterday. Wouldn't you know I started feeling this little one more than I had been. I still have moments where I don't but I know it'll come. I was anterior with my first as well and eventually I felt her like crazy. I know my husband is starting to get anxious to feel her as well so I hope it comes soon. =)

Me too! I was feeling flutters super early, then hardly felt anything, and now I'm feeling super strong punches and kicks! DH has felt baby once, but tries to often, just not when baby is very active. I'm definitely feeling more every day and can't wait for DH to feel more, too. I'm 22 weeks. My placenta was posterior with my daughter, and the movement definitely feels different this time, but I can appreciate that :-)

I felt her a lot early as well and then barely anything for a while. I even got to the point where I would kind of forget about it and then I'd get a good thump and be like... Oh yea, I'm pregnant! lol

Just had the most amazing experience! Baby girl wasn't really moving a lot. And hubby came over and asked if she was moving. And I said no not really. He goes well talk to her momma. And so I did and she immediately kicked!!! Then nothing and I talked her her again and she immediately kicked again! This happened about 6 times. Idk why but it suddenly just feel so real now... Wow. I love this miracle baby so much! smile.gif *tears*

23w tomorrow and I feel this girl nearly constantly with an anterior placenta. She's quite the mover.

Edited to add that DH was able to feel her for the first time earlier this week. He was very excited.

Its 5am and I am awake- could be posting this in the insomnia thread. Lol.

I am 24 weeks now! And noticed that the movement the last few days is far less than it was over the weekend. That has me worried of course. We were so excited to finally be able to both see/feel.

when does the movement become consistent?

Munchkin, it is so different between people and how they are built or how the baby is sitting. I wouldn't worry too much about regular movement this early on, especially since they are said to sleep so many hours throughout the day. Whenever you think it's lower than usual, try eating a good meal and have some juice or soda and wait some. That always gets the little one moving for me. I learned that trick after being admitted for monitoring with DD1 but I don't remember how far along I was at that point.

It is so different with everyone. I have been told many times by my dr that I'm very much not the norm in that this little ladies movements have been fairly predictable for weeks. Since 19/20... But yes if she is being quiet all I have to do is eat a little sugar smile.gif and she gets to bouncing smile.gif

I also have an anterior placenta and I've been feeling this little guy since about week 18.  Possibly during week 17 but I wasn't quite sure it was the baby yet as this is my first.  At that point it was just faint flutters every few days or so but now at 22 weeks I'm feeling him move every day a couple times a day.  Especially when I lay down to sleep or when I come back to bed after going to the bathroom in the middle of the night.  Makes it tough for me to fall asleep.  Husband's snoring doesn't help and neither does my cat who likes to crawl all over my head.

My midwives told my husband he wouldn't be able to feel the baby until around 30 weeks but I think they just didn't want to get his hopes up too early.  He tries to feel but gets impatient and gives up too quickly.  And I think he stops kicking when my husband or I try to feel with warm hands.  If my hands are colder he will kick away but stops when they are warm.  Anyway I've felt some pretty strong kicks lately.  Today I think I actually saw it from the outside.  I felt it with my hand and it looked like my fingers moved out a little when I felt him kick.  Makes me gasp every time because it seems to come out of nowhere.  I love it.

Anterior here, too, or was at 19 weeks. Baby is starting to move *alot*. I'm 23 weeks, tomorrow, and it seems all within the past week it's become stronger, more frequent, visible from the outside at times, and my hubby can feel most kicks/pokes.

24 w 5 days and I think I'm feeling something... Laying in bed baby b seemed to b protesting I was laying on the side he is at... And I felt this thump a few times... If I moved it stopped but I'd go back to that position and I'd feel it again... Funny cause baby B is the smallest of three ...
I've been feeling lots if popcorn feeling from baby A smile.gif not much from C yet

Also babies hr were up yesterday 176,170 and 167... They aren't usually that high ... I am having to do breathing treatments 2-3x a day and dr said that might make their hr go up a bit but they are still well within normal smile.gif
