Depression and the seasons

Thread Starter
Even if you don't normally have seasonal depression, the shorter days can aggravate depression. Fresh air, sunshine, exercise can help. Taking a walk around the block in the afternoon may lift your spirits. Another idea is a full spectrum light in a special lamp that you turn on for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

This advice is in addition to whatever else you're already doing.

To all struggling with depression, whatever the cause, I sending you best wishes. You are valuable and important. Remember to take care of yourself, too!

The greater the challenge, the greater the joy.

Thanks for this post, this is something I am really struggling with right now. My dh is encouraging me to get outside for a walk but it seems like too much effort, you know? I know it would be good for me though. Maybe I'll just sit on the balcony and catch some sun rays.
