2 years post birth #2 & frustrated!

i am super dumpy lately and i wish the state of y body didn't bother me so much, but it does.

i am generally a fitness buff, and was in GREAT shape when i got pregnant at 32 with first baby. gained 55 lbs, lost 30 of it within 2 weeks of birth. exercised and was able to lose about 1 lb a week until i finally got those 25 lbs. off.

gained exactly the same 55 lbs. with pregnancy #2, and again lost nearly 30 lbs. within a few weeks of giving birth. been exercising for almost 2 years now, really stepped it up in the last few months as well, and here i sit with 15 extra lbs. actually i was down to only 8 extra, but i have gained 7lbs with my new workout routine. i know the scale is not the ultimate measurement, but dang!

probably the most difficult is getting dressed. i feel like nothing fits properly or looks nice.

i am working hard at this and its so frustrating.

my current routine:

i do 25 minutes of yoga, then run on a treadmill (or occasionally do elliptical) for 25 minutes (2.5 miles), then do weight machines (switching up daily) for another 30 minutes, 4 days a week.

i do have a life outside of my body/exercise issues, just feeling like i need to vent.

Have you thought about interval training? I've been reading lately that it gives faster results. My DH and I just started the Insanity program 3 weeks ago, and while the weight isn't rolling off the way I had hoped, I am losing sloooowly and I'm definitely getting stronger and more fit.

I know that the number on the scale and the way we look in clothes isn't the end-all, be-all, but I can't help but be frustrated right there with you!

I wonder if others find that its more difficult after 2nd, 3rd, etc births??? I am still nursing at nap and bedtime, so i wonder if that is why i am holding a little extra still.

I did p90x when i got clearance ti exercise after baby #2 and lost 12 lbs.

Buy a few items that flatter your current body. Don't get hung up on the size, it's only a number. When you wear clothes with a good fit, you look good, no matter what your shape and size.
