I used to live in IL and had a UBAC there so i'm aware of the restrictions on midwives in that state, but wondering if anyone has any links to any homebirth midwives in or around Streator? Or Peoria/Bloomington...not sure if Chicago is too far for her to drive. She has one child already that was born 5 weeks premature due to pre-e but otherwise her pregnancy was healthy/she is healthy. She is currently seeing an OB but is wanting a less medical/less interventive model of care. She is very early in her pregnancy. I think she would also be interested in CNM's at a birth center (i'm assuming there are still no freestanding birth centers in IL though?). I think she primarily just wants the midwifery model of care. Her OB ran tests on her without even telling her, and it's just already starting off on a bad foot.
