Scorched smelling jam fixes?

Thread Starter

I am making plum jam and it smells scorched because the bottom of the pan got too hot. No more stainless for me... anyway.

Is there anything I can do to remove the (mild) taste and smell?

TIA!

I'm not a jam or jelly maker, but I have never had good luck getting the scorched taste out of anything once the bottom of the pan has been hit w/ a spoon.

Hope someone else has a more helpful suggestion!
