No, not in the name of love, not for Hammer time, but for something even more exciting!

Don’t throw out those gently used clothes or shoes you or your kids have grown out of! Why you ask? Well, let me tell you about a little program we have here at MDC. It's called the Holiday Helper Program. Since 2003, MDC members have been reaching out to each other around the holidays to make sure that families in need, here at MDC, get the chance to celebrate the season as well.

Many families in need (FINs) would love to receive gently used clothing for themselves, their children, and other family members. The Holiday Helper Program helps to match up Holiday Helpers with FINs. It’s a great way to make a wonderful difference in another family’s life. So hang on to those gently used items, and we’ll get back to you all with the specific!

P.S. We will also be looking for all sorts of gently used or new items, like toys, books, clothe diapers, kitchen items, body care items, arts and craft supplies, and etc!

Also, we need people to help match up families in need with Holiday Helpers. Basically, you would become the contact person for certain families and when a member had something to donate to your family, they would contact you and you would make the match. It's an awesome way to get into the holiday spirit! If you are interested in being one of these very special volunteers, please contact AdinaL.
