This is my 7th child and my fourth intact boy, so this aint my first rodeo. :) Anyhoo, with nekkie butt potty learning he has discovered his penis in in the course of stretching and twisting and playing with it <twitch> he has figured out how to retract it and it is now a source of constant amusement. On one side near the bottom of the glans, the foreskin is still attached to the glans. Is this normal as it is being newly retracted for a little guy? (Because I have always heard the standard it can normally retract any age up through puberty, although my kids have been earlier) So then, if it is normal, just watch and wait for it to retract on its own eventually, or seek out some steroid cream from the doctor to help it out? I am not horribly worried as it is near the base of the glans. Just want to do the right thing.
Oh and I just want to give a huge shout out of thanks to this section of MDC, without it, I might not have intact boys (from almost 18 down to 3yo) and wouldn't have all the great information to have educated other families about this. (Although sadly many close to me, still circed their boys, but I do know others I have talked to who have not because of the power of good information.)
Thanks!
