I think just about everyone should be half way done, feeling better?
in some ways yes, less zitty, and happy to be showing. but in some ways, not. starting to get some of the extra water weight in my face and hands and feeling very tired and hormonal lately. hot flashes at night, weird appetite jumps and losses (sometimes i don't want to eat at all and have to make myself), always hot, and just tired..... feeling really cute and round and just loving my husband's crazy affection for my not quite awkward body- he's been really great about telling me daily how beautiful and lovely i am, and also giving me loads of physical affection (back massages, foot massages, shoulder massages, petting my hair) in the evenings when we're hanging out together. that makes me so happy. he jokes that i'm a giant cat. i don't mind, as long as he keeps petting me.
How is the preparation for your LO coming? What have you done? What do you still have to do?
not preparing at all yet. i have a couple of onesies, little newborn suits and cotton blankets washed and in a drawer, but that's about it. i won't know gender til birth, and will probably wash and sort out a few more little outfits soon. have a boppy, have a sling, have boobs, so pretty much set except for clothes, but usually that doesn't take me long and i stay in bed and snuggle for the first week anyways... also my midwife brings most everything- but i will have to set up a birth room. usually i do that the day of labor.
How is everyone doing?
tired- my kids are waking up early, and not sleeping through the night well, and i just can't seem to get enough sleep. that said, we have had house guests for the last 2 nights, and baseball, and a stomach flu this week, so i'm probably going to be fine in a few days, but right now.... ugggghhhhhh!!!
Anyone else stalking the Oct. 2012 ddc with all the cute photos of the new babies?
nope! lol- though it sounds fun, most of my friends across the country have had babies, so that is what facebook is for- stalking babies! and the friends who don't have relatively new babies are pregnant- so spending a lot of time talking through pregnancy things with friends.
Anything else you want to share!
my almost 3 year old has been a living hollering tantrum throwing terror for the last 2-3 weeks. she cries and fusses and whines about everything from the time she wakes up until naptime. and then after naptme it starts again. she's a living grumpy terror and there is no solving her sorrows. i'm very very very frustrated with her. my 18 month old learned NO. and yells it at me and everyone else (i wonder how she learned it? no older siblings ever yelled "NO" at her....) about anything she doesn't agree upon. that started yesterday.
baking like a fiend this week- almond flour butternut squash bread, almond flour carrot cake, quinoa cake, almond flour scones. and hungry for wings and chicken every day. but we have beef from our farm, i just don't want beef! ah, cravings.
