White Potatoes... Yay or Nay?

I'm starting to see some big time Paleo bloggers add white potatoes back in with various reasons behind it. What's your take on white potatoes? Do you include them?

I eat potatoes! But then again I'm not 100% Paleo... and even less so this pregnancy.

I subscribe to MDA's articles, remembered this one- has a lot of great info:

I'm more "primal" than "paleo" but count me in on the potato eaters! And pretty regularly too.  I feel I just don't feel my best on the lower end of the carb intake, and fruit doesn't cut it.  I added potatoes back in and that alone makes it where I can continue eating primally.

The majority of the potatoes I eat are sweet potatoes, but I do eat regular potatoes from time to time.

This is me as well. Sometimes it's just what fits the bill. ;)

I am more Primal more than Paleo, and I eat sweet potatoes all the time, white ones not as much but I think I am going to add them back to the menu for the winter, there are so many things I can do with them to make hearty warm dinners. Its only 20 degrees outside right now and I just called DH and told him to bring a bag home so that I can make Red Chili and we will put it over some mashed potatoes. I consider them a real food so I don't mind eating them.

We mostly eat sweet potatoes but have white potatoes maybe 3 times a month.
