The book discourages rewards and punishment and encourages teaching skills. There are 2 summaries at the bottom of the blog article . imho the book is not very GD

okay, I have not read the book but if someone is

suggesting no rewards and no punishment it sounds

like that person never had an acutal kid but only a paper one.

I would think that this might work in some ideal situation

on some planet where kids are born from the can

and are cookie cutter cute and perfect and the same..

but if you ask a teacher in a classroom if she could

apply the same no punishment and no reward rule

to the whole room to get the same result that would be

just insane as to suggest it to all parents across the board.

I don't know anything about the book, but my dk function very well with no rewards and no punishments.
