Grapefruit seed extract for thrush

Hello. My 9mo has recently developed thrush a few days ago when at first the Dr said said was just milk. Now it's all over his tongue and on the inside of his lips. I'm amazed at how quickly it has progressed in just a couple days. I would like to avoid the use of prescription anti fungal meds since I've had bad luck in the past with it or I should say no luck at all. I am going to attempt to use Grapefruit seed extract but in my research I'm getting different dosage recommendations and I would like to be as safe as possible with the dosage on myself (since I BF) as well as with my son. I'm only today starting to feel stinging symptoms on myself. Can you please recommend the use and dosage for moderate thrush in a 9mo and beginning symptoms in breasts, please?
