DS will be 4 next summer and I want him out of his daycare and into a Waldorf school. There's a local charter that is tuition-free, but the preschool costs.
Has anyone else used a Waldorf school for preschool? Good experience? Advice?
Okay I have another question. I know some waldorf schools are more intense than others when following the philosophy, but DS is already learning letters and the ABCs at daycare and loves to sing the song constantly and count things. He might be able to read by the time he gets to a waldorf school (if he's anything like me, he definitely will be reading before he's 5) just because he loves learning so much. Does that have the potential to be a problem? I don't care if he doesn't do any reading while he's there--I'm comfortable with delayed reading, etc. But I don't want him to think he SHOULDN'T be reading because again, if he's anything like me, he'll really love it and have a really great imagination. He won't be forced to learn it at home or at daycare, but it will be taught there for whoever is interested. So I'm just wondering if he's going to be set up for some kind of... I don't know... weirdness?
