Right? Am I correct in observing that we have NO Libra babies in this November DDC, at least that we know of? And now we're already in Scorpio? What are the odds?
I bet someone had a baby already and just hasn't gotten on the computer yet. We seem to be a balanced bunch - life outside the internet and all that good stuff. :) Me, I can't wait until next week, like others I am officially feeling ready to meet the new one and I just want November to get here alright already!
Has anyone ever been told they have an "irritable uterus"?
Last night I had one long constant BH contraction, literally from dinner to when I went to sleep.
It was kind of horrible, and I googled and read that it could be irritable uterus? Never heard of it - not labor, not really painful (sort of, more uncomfortable).
It's hard to move and bend when your stomach is ROCK hard for 4 hours.
I think I might have this. It's like whenever I have to pee (which is a lot lol) then I have one long contraction pretty much until I go to the bathroom. It used to freak me out but I can't really tell that it's doing any harm.
And also I'm like OMG WE ARE ABOUT TO HAVE A CHILD. FOREVER. I thought by now it would have sunk in but I don't think the enormity of it has yet reached me. I guess it won't be "real" until we are actually holding our son in our arms. It's really hard to think of myself as someone's mother! Crazy!
I was so confident at the beginning of this pregnancy and now I am definitely getting some anxiety. I wanted this more than anything, I just hope I'm up for the task :)
I had that during the very end of my first pregnancy. My mw told me it was due to dehydration, but I couldn't seem to drink enough water to help. She hooked me up to an IV to rehydrate me and it was a WORLD of difference- such relief! I would try really to drink as much as you possibly can and then maybe ask about an IV if that doesn't help. Of course, there could be other causes too that I'm not aware of.
Oh, I've been getting that, too! Not quite for four hours (sounds awful, you have my sympathies!) but for long periods of time during which I can't walk, move, or get comfortable. If I've just eaten I'm miserable. There's no relaxation of the uterus, it just stays hard, like you describe, and also seems to pull on my lower back. I wasn't sure if it was contractions or whatever, because it doesn't feel like it would be, but I'm new at this, and really have no idea what anything is. Worse, sometimes the baby gets active during that time - and it hurts when someone's got their little foot pushing against your tight, crampy muslces! The only thing that offers relief for me is doing pelvic tilts. They really help, though, especially with releasing my back.
I have been absent for so much of this pregnancy. Just not feeling up for chatting, seeing anyone or even grocery shopping on most days. 3rd trimester has been better and I am social again and leaving my house. The way I was feeling, I was really hoping for a late Libra baby, but I have resigned myself to the wait and am okay with that. Whatever this baby needs. :)
The worst part has been nausea that comes after I get dizzy spells. It happens out of the blue, usually in the morning about an hour after I eat. I just can't shake it. Other than that I have felt good. Seeing my chiropractor and acupuncturist regularly and generally just getting ready.
I am so excited for everyone. Can't wait to see pictures of the babies.
Just checking in. No baby here yet. I have 8 days till my due date. I'm not feeling any sense of urgency that baby's coming any time "soon". I wondered if I would make it past the full moon. I did. I wondered if I was going to make it past the day I was born, that was yesterday. So now we wait.
I have this week off teaching the girls. SCORE. (My teen SILs). They're on fall break with their dad elk hunting. Works for me. They do so much by themselves but they are still a full time job that just drains the life from me. I didn't realize how much until I had yesterday and today off. I've been getting some stuff done so that's been great! I have left overs scheduled for today and tomorrow so that's going to help a bunch.
Oh I get some dizzy and a lot of LONG BH cx. My MW said when the BH happens, drink a big glass of water (I like Recharge, it helps more than water bc of the electrolytes), take magnesium to calm the smooth muscle if it's bad, change activities/non activity, and/or take a warm bath. Sometimes laying on the floor helps, esp when my back hurts a lot.
November in less than 2 days!
