Looks like we are expecting baby #5 in early June.  We were done with the baby phase and quite happy with our bigger kids.  We were being very, very cautious while we waited on DH to get the vasectomy.  Turns out life has other plans for us.  I was very apprehensive for the first few weeks, but am starting to feel a little excitement mixed in now.  Hard to feel too joyous though as I have been non-stop nauseous and completely exhausted!  This baby will be #5.  My others are 11, 9, 7, and 5. 

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here  :)

Welcome! I am excited to have such an experienced mother here! Our pregnancy was a surprise, too, and it took a little getting used to. We were expecting to remain a family of three. I hope you have a beautiful pregnancy and enjoy your surprise baby.

Welcome!  Another total surprise baby here as well.  I'm slowly getting into the acceptance phase.  Might take a bit for me to actually get into the excited bit.  But it appears sometimes someone else has another plan for your life rather than what you planned.

I figure I have another 32 weeks to get to excited.  It is nice to know I am not the only one who was more surprised than delighted to get that positive.  Babies are great, I was just looking forward to cuddling OTHER babies and not caring 24/7 for any more of my own.  Apparently life does have other plans for us.  Nothing left to do but enjoy the ride!

Ours was a surprise too although this is a baby #1 surprise :)

I know how you feel! This is #4 for us and a complete shock. My youngest is 15 months and had just recently weaned herself and has starting sleeping through the night consistently and I was starting to really feel "normal" again. And now we start all over! I'm still waiting for the excitement and I'm thinking it's gonna be awhile.
