Late Ovulation :(

Hi Everyone,
I was diagnosed with PCOS this past December, and have been on a regimen of Sinthroid and Metformin since that time. The combination has worked beautifully, and I've had regular cycles (give or take the usual few days) since then. I'm a little worried though because I should have ovulated this past Monday, but I haven't yet! Admittedly, I was on a very hectic trip for the past two weeks (returned this past Sunday) and crossed several time-zones; I also slept horribly for those two weeks and had a myriad of other stressors as well during that time. Do you think that all of that could have thrown my cycle off? I'm just hoping that it's that and that it's not something worse (like the medication not working anymore). Any reassurances you can send my way would be very, very much appreciated!

Stress (cortisol) can delay ovulation. Sounds like you had a busy/stressful couple weeks. I would just attribute it to that. Try to relax and I'm sure you'll get back into your normal cycle again soon ;)

Thanks so much, dejagerw :)  I really appreciate the vote of confidence. My body seems to be getting back on track and (without divulging TMI) is showing some telling O-symptoms. Should be any day now I'd guess! ::fingers crossed:: In the meantime, I'm definitely going to take your advice and try and to chill out a bit more -- it' can only help!
