Hello, lovely Ladies! My name is Mandi. I currently live in Hawaii but will be moving back to Marion, Ohio from February 2013 to February 2014 while my husband is deployed.
I am a birth junkie. I'm a birth doula and childbirth educator. I'm also training to be a placenta encasulation specialist, breastfeeding educator, and postpartum doula. I know it's a lot, but I really enjoy the field and hope to one day become a CPM.
I was wondering about the birthing climate there. Are expectant families interested in birth doulas and/or childbirth education there? I'm very well-read, but lack the experience of more seasoned birth workers, and I'd really like to achieve that while I'm in Ohio.
Any insight would be most appreciated!
