Feeling IMPATIENT already!

I'm only 5 weeks or so, and I'm feeling so restless and impatient! Anyone else feeling this too?

DD was a surprise and we didn't find out til I was over 5 weeks, and then it took a few weeks to kind of sink in, and even then we were a little reluctant to tell people because we weren't sure what they'd think or say (at the time it seemed like HORRIBLE timing--I was a waitress, just graduated from UCLA with 25k in student loan debt and another 25k in high-interest credit card debt, DH had just arrived in the US and wasn't authorized to work until my 5th month of pregnancy, and we were sharing a 2 bedroom apartment with my brother.)

This time we were TTC and have been planning and dreaming about it since the beginning of the year. I got an early BFP at 10 DPO, and I FEEL like I've already been pregnant for a while, but I haven't! I want to start telling everyone. I'm actually excited to start showing this time! I have a whole bunch of maternity clothes already and I want to start wearing them! I cant wait to hear/see the heartbeat, and for quickening to start.

Am I the only one feeling impatient during early pregnancy?

Can't say I'm joining you in the seat of impatience smile.gif . Since this is most likely our last time around this disco I'm really trying to savor it all. With DS1 I was impatient and ready to get a nice round belly and wear maternity clothes. With DS2 I was too busy with DS1 and a ton of other stuff to be impatient lol.

Oh, I hear ya! I found out I was pregnant at 3w3d (or something ridiculous like that) - and have to wait until this Friday for my first u/s. It has helped somehow being crazy sick...but now that I feel a little better, I'm just soooooo anxious for that ultrasound!

6 weeks today - fun to hit that milestone, as I'm further along than my m/c last month now!

4 more days until my u/s - and yes, I'm counting. :)

Good luck at the u/s SweetMama. I probably won't even be going in for my first "real" appointment for another 2 weeks, and then it will probably be at least a week after that before I get to have an u/s. Impatient Impatient Impatient!

(They made me go in for a pregnancy confirmation appointment which consisted solely of peeing in a cup so they could dip a strip in it. Which was a ridiculous waste of an afternoon, because I have done that at least a half-dozen times at home, and I could have told them it would be positive. Couldn't they lump that visit in with the rest of the first-appointment stuff?)

and mamacatsbaby--I think I am going to want to slow down and savor every moment after I hit the second trimester. I wish that part of pregnancy were longer! I love it.

This will probably be my last pregnancy. So I want to savor it, but I'm just so anxious to be out of this first trimester and feeling good! So I will savor my second trimester as well! All the best things happen in the second trimester. I just want to be pregnant and feel good, right now I just feel yucky all day. And I can't wait for that to be done! And I want to tell people. But my first appt isn't until Nov 5. I'll be 10 weeks. So I'll at least wait til after that to tell people.
I enjoyed my last pregnancy, first trimester and all. But I wasn't this sick either and I didn't have a toddler to take care of! This time I just feel so sorry for myself! Lol.. I'm hoping I'll feel better soon!

I will savor my second...and even third....it's just this horrible nausea I need to get through before I do any savoring!

In the meanwhile, I'm all about wishing time away. I know that's awful...and so against everything I ever say otherwise....but I don't like to be sick like this. I miss being a mama, I miss my husband, I miss my life. :(

Nope!!  I hear you.  I'm not feeling any overt symptoms except for some fatigue, so I can't wait for some belly confirmation!
