6 month keeps biting nipple on one side

My son keeps biting my right nipple during feedings and smiles after he does it. What do I do?

This is what I would do when my child was doing it. I would immediately take him off the breast and put it away. Basically hinting "if you're going to bite, than you are done"
Also watch for hungry behavior vs playful behavior.
My son did do this for a little while, but he quickly learned that it wasn't okay. He was around 9 months at the time so he might of understood me easier.
I hope that this will work for your child as well, if not I hope there is some other advice coming your way!

I agree, this is what I did with DD. She bit, I covered up and put her down. If she cried, I'd pick her up again after a few seconds and nurse again. If she bit, I would put her down again. After a couple of days she pretty much stopped but she tried again when teething. I also offered different things she could bite and she responded well. I never let her cry for long but I was consistent in stopping nursing when there was a bite. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice, I have started putting it away, thus far it seems to be working.
