Candles for Stella

Thread Starter

I imagine that most of us know who Stella and her mommies are, if you don't you can find them here.  If you're checking it right now, the website is overloaded and keeps shutting down.  Stella is a gorgeous, fiery 3.5 year old who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour last June and given approximately 6 months to live.  She survived nearly 16 months and died peacefully in the arms of her mamas this evening.

I feel that as a queer parenting community, we should show something.  I know a lot of you already read her blog on a regular basis.

Here's my candle to her moms, Mishi, Aimee and her little brothers Sam and Hugo and the entire rest of her family.  May you guys feel surrounded by all the support that all the thousands of people have shown you over the past couple of months.

Stay strong, Aimee and Mishi.  Stella will live on in your hearts, and in the hearts of her brothers.  We're so sorry for your loss.
