The first time around, we got a bunch of stuff we didn't end up using. Once, my DP's aunt found us an exersaucer we did not want or have space for, and talked us into putting it into FIL's car and driving it back to our city (2 hr drive, it was Christmas with the relatives), where we promptly put it back out on the curb (from whence it came) for someone else to use.... She also gave me bins of musty, 15 year old clothes that were stained and no matter how much I washed them I could not get the smell out. She means well.
This time around, I am saying yes to absolutely everything that could possibly make my life a tiny bit easier. So far we have been blessed to get blankets, clothes, a baby carrier, a jogging stroller (awesome because the other stroller we have is about to fall apart at the seams), and we're going to get a crib in a few months from an acquaintance. Also someone has offered us a car seat. It looks like we will probably get some hand me down cloth diapers too. We probably still won't have an exersaucer, as our apt has no floor space for something like that. But I have a feeling I'm gonna get real cozy with the bouncy seat.
How are you feeling now that the second trimester is here?

I can't imagine things being different!
