Has anyone felt movement? « Back to Group Discussions

When they did the  ultrasound and the baby was having a little wiggle, i could feel weird flutters.. ive also been feeling vibratingy sensations on my tummy alot.. as someone who has a lot of body probs and gets a lot of symptoms, these feelings feel totally different, this along with the occasional sharp bruised feeling and im wondering if any of this mite be the baby moving?

Anyone else felt anything?

I am not feeling anything yet (only 10.5 weeks)  but with both of my previous pregnancies I felt flutters starting at about 12 weeks.  So your little one could certainly be what you are feeling!

I have! For a couple days I have at certain time felt soft but distinct movement. The first few times I actually dismissed it, because I was pretty surprised to feel anything quite this early, but today it was pretty obvious:) I did feel movement early with my first at 14 weeks though, so it's not out of the realm of possibility. It is one of my most favourite parts of being pregnant and I have been eagerly anticipating this new one, so I am feeling pretty happy today:)

awww so happy that you have felt movement too.. its actually amazing.. <3 im so in love with this little thing inside me already.. i cant even imagine how much more that could become!!

yup :) i felt DD at 12 weeks and now I'm almost 12 weeks and felt this babe a couple days ago "kick", this one is high and right in the front, so he/she likes to be where all the action is at :)

Yes!  I felt the occasional flutter starting maybe two weeks ago (I am 13 weeks, 4 days today) and for about the last 5 days in the row in the mornings, when I am laying in bed, if I put my hand on my belly I will feel the baby move, not just a little flutter but real movement.   I already look forward to it every morning.

With DS, it was somewhere around 13 weeks when I felt movement and my DH felt my DS move at 16 weeks for the first time.

wow! this is so interesting. I had always been told movement is generally felt around 16-17 weeks, 20 weeks in first pregnancy. I felt movement probably around 17 weeks with my first. I'm just over 12 weeks pregnant this time and in the past week, there have been a few occasions when I wondered if that was what I was feeling, but dismissed it as I figured it's too early. I can't be totally sure but this thread makes me wonder...I'll be paying closer attention now! I'm also looking forward to that baby movement - it does feel real now, but then there's no denying it!

Wow! I cannot WAIT for that. Almost the best part of the pregnancy, I think.

I am 'only' 9 wks 1 day (le sigh) and this is my second pregnancy .. with my first I think I was right at about 16 weeks, so I'm hoping before that since this is my second.

I can-NOT wait!

I felt a little flutter yesterday that definitely felt different, but it surely could have been my intestines. I am 11 wks. I am SOOOOOOOO excited to start feeling movement, as that will really make it all feel real and is my most favorite part of pregnancy (except for those under the rib kicks in the later days). In my first pg I didn't feel it until at least 20 wks. So my flutter could be all in my head, but one can hope! I will just live vicariously through all of you while I impatiently wait...

tehe.. yes i spoke to my aunty about it earlier and she said she felt it quite early, and she wasnt surprised i felt it even earlier because i have been so unwell and know my body very very well, but also have a lot more time on my hands then most people so got more time to notice such things!!  it feels so little and teeny atm :)

I'm 12 weeks with #1. Everything I've read says it's too early if it's your first.

Twice lately I've felt a little "flutter", but I'm convincing myself it's just little gas bubbles. I can't wait until I feel it and know it's it for real!

I did, however, hear the heartbeat this morning!!!

aww <3 i havent heard hb yet.. seen it on us, but in uk they dont record your hb, or listen with doppler til a little while... id like to hear it tho <3 it was beautiful seeing my lil baby on the screen tho .. the movements are teeny tiny as its so little.. feels a bit like little russian dwarfe hamster type movements.. teenytiny feathery occasionally spikey feelings!! (not literally feathers)  this is #1 for me too (sortve-5 major miscarriages but never got this far).

Past two days I've been feeling stuff that could be baby flutters or it could just be intestine stuff, it really is probably the latter as so much gas right now, but it was my first maybe it is the babies situation. It definitely made me pause as I could feel things in two different places at once. I'm really excited to see how different it is with twins than a singleton, though honestly it will probably just be one more baby to punch/kick my bladder and such

And 20 weeks to feel with your first? That sounds like on the high end of when you start to feel movement, most women I've talked to felt it way before even with the first. A lot of it depends on your the position of the baby/babies and with your first you aren't sure for a long time, but when you look back, you often realize that yup I've been feeling stuff for awhile now and just wasn't sure.

I'm about 85% sure I feel movement and have for about a week or so.  I'm 14 weeks tomorrow.  Last night DH and I were in bed and I was looking at Thanksgiving pie recipes in a magazine.    As he was telling me his preferences, there was a definite "flutter."  I told DH that the baby apparently has some strong feelings about his pie choices.    He then felt my belly and could definitely tell he/she was hanging out on my right side.  Pretty cool!

I'm only 12w5d with my first, and am definitely feeling different down below my belly button. I'm not sure how to describe it though ... it's not painful, and doesn't feel like menstural cramps. It's more like a tingling, if you can have tingling on the inside. I know the word fluttering is tossed around a lot, but I could also describe this feeling as a fast fluttering - like if you catch a moth or firefly in your hands. It happens most when I am sitting in my chair at work and leaning over a bit to type. If it is the baby, maybe he/she just wants me to stop hunching over so he can have a little more room!

I'm having a hard time convincing myself this is movement so early with my first, but I've never felt anything like it. It's too low to be my stomach, and too regular to be gas. I can't feel anything from the outside though.

If this is movement, I'm thrilled!

ooo your due the same day as me :) and ive had similar feeling.. it sortve reminds me of when u hold a teeny tiny creature.. sometimes it feels more like elbows (like when you catch the sharp bit of a mouses elbow buut less) but yes, fluttery, vibratey, weird feeling...) so lovely isnt it :) x

I had some flutters at about 9 weeks, but it could just as easily have been intestinal gas. I first felt DS1 at about 18 weeks and DS2 at 14. DH got to feel DS2 at about 16 weeks when he was snuggling me during the night. He happened to have his hand on my belly and DS2 kicked at him for several minutes.

I'm 12w4d right now with #3 so I'll probably start getting definite movements any day now.

Feeling movement is when it gets real, and when I can stop worrying about loss. I never got to the point of feeling anything with the baby I lost, so movement is my big sigh of relief.

This babe is front and center and I can see it move already, since 11/12 weeks... others are able to feel as well. Seems like this babe likes to be seen... Yesterday i was procrastinating making dinner, for fear of nausea ( I can't eat anything :( ) and shortly after my stomach started growling the baby started to kick me, saying "hey! time to eat!". Soo weird, but def reassuring considering miscarriage is something I have to worry about.

Awe that's lovely others have felt little vibrations I wonder if I'm feeling so early as when my bladder is full baby is really high (I have overdstended bladder that holds 5litres of fluid!! Eek) and then because it's so high I'm feelin it more? I keep feeling what I can only describe as little micey sharp elbows this week which coincides with the bones growing (13 1/2 weeks) a little less pleasent but reassuring seeming as ive been so unwell last few days
