I haven't asked my boyfriend to come feel the wow on the few times I've seen him lately. He totally blew off this weekend which is first time without my 5 yo in a long time. He could have asked or just spent some time with wow. That is really upping my emotions right now.

eepeepee, you are cracking me up And it is cool how they start responding to outside stuff, mine always start kicking when I'm leaning a little too far on my stomach at night for their comfort

I tried to get DH to feel some movement this weekend, but same with you ladies they stopped moving as soon as he put his hand there and then back to moving as soon as he moved away. He'll feel them soon though and he'll get to see them again at the ultrasound on Wednesday, so that will help too.

I am finally getting lots of movement and I looooove it! So far the most has been at 2 different dinner parties. Social butterfly maybe? I thought I maybe saw movement but I couldn't be quite sure. It started right at 20 weeks (now 21).

I remember during my last pregnancy that sometimes the movement would be painful, especially towards the end.  And I had really uncomfortable movement for the first time yesterday.  (I consider it a milestone because the movement was so strong and oddly placed that it was beyond noticeable but actually uncomfortable).

I have been feeling lots of movement, especially if I am still like sitting or laying down. I read someplace that you can feel the baby move more laying down (not sure why). I definitely always get a lot of night time kicks when I'm laying down. I also read that around now (5 months ish) they will respond to outside sounds, although it's really muffled from their perspective.

I am so curious to know what positions the babies are in - I always get kicks/punches just above and to the right of my belly button, and I feel a lot of movement really low, but more like....a waterbed? Maybe he's on my bladder, or rolling around near it. Not pokes to the outside, anyways. So I'm thinking that baby must be facing a different way than the baby that is up higher. I'll find out tomorrow as I have an ultrasound!

Last week I saw a poke to the side of my belly button and it was just...CRAZY! I couldn't believe it. I totally thought of an alien, which my friends and family thought was hilarious. Later that night I was waiting for it again, and my husband was able to see one poke, too.

Hee hee.  We saw movement last night as well.  I went to my first pregnancy yoga class yesterday evening and I think it got Baby Girl all fired up.  I was laying in bed reading and felt some strong movements.  I pulled up my tank top and DH looked over so he saw it as well.  It was kind of Alien-like and I started laughing. 

Very weird, but very cool.  I don't remember seeing DS moving like that at this stage.  But I think Baby Girl is way higher, closer to my ribcage, than he was.

Sometimes when I think of my pregnancy like "cmon, is this whole situation real here? this is so alien!" all I can think of is the final scene from Spaceballs, when the Alien comes out of the guy's stomach and then sings Hello My Baby lol.

I have been feeling great movement but at 23 weeks I better be! I have been feeling good movement for at least 2.5 weeks now. When I told my midwife abt my concerns about not feeling the baby move yet (as I felt my son move much earlier on) she said I probably had an anterior placenta. Low and behold I went for my anatomy scan today and bingo...anterior placenta! Its very reassuring to feel movement and very odd at the same time lol.

Just wanted to say all the kicking I've been getting on my right side, usually up by my ribs, is Baby A's feet. His head is down low. Baby B's head is on my left side, around my ribs area, and feet are down low, where I normally feel what I call a "waterbed" feeling (maybe my bladder??) . It'll be interesting to see where they are at my next appointment and if I feel movement in the same places!

Don't fret. I didn't feel anything until 20/21 weeks. Trust me, you WILL eventually feel something.

I am just 20 weeks too and I have only been feeling real movement the past 3 days or so.  This is my 3rd baby, so I thought I might feel something sooner......  I agree with LoogieJane, don't fret!

23 weeks and felt a really strong kick. Immediately put DH's fingers on the spot, and baby kicked again and he felt it!!! We are both so very happy right now! Feeling the baby together for the first time is just wonderful.

It's weird I have an anterior placenta but I've been feeling baby since 11 weeks. Everytime I say to drs they say I felt early because I was underweight at start of preg (ha not now turned into a giant blob of water lol) but also I'm only just beginning to pop now (at 23w3d) and so baby's been stuck in a really small space I think not sticking out atall and also all my nerves are on hyper aware all the time (have to take tablets to dull them as they fire constantly even when I'm barely moving) and I've heard other people with my condition (ehlers- syndrome) also felt early (along with my mum and aunty who were both overweight(there goes that theory! Lol) anyway point is we're all different.. Tbh I Have had a dodgy tummy and pain and all sorts of probs since I was a baby and I believe I felt early because like most 3nd time mums I know my body better then someone who had never been constipated. Score before, never had a paralysed stomach, never bad awful gas or intact I was even fed by a tube directly into my stomach so I recognise a lot of feelings and sounds and bumps n wiggles already so perhaps that's why I felt something different .. I think a lot of people expects movement to fe more intense early on.. Where at the beginning it genuinely feels like a small rodent squirming around in a ball of fur that u can just feel in your tummy.. It's only now that the movements have become rhythmic and at times intense.. For example last night baby decided to repeatedly push on my stomach causing me to uncontrollably burp and nearly throw up in the car (thanks baby) lol also does this to my pelvis and my organs generally.. I swear he uses my bladder as a water balloon (but no accidents yet Thankfully) if u haven't fel. Any movement and are still worried and or you haven't even heard baby's bears eat or seen a scan perhaps a quick trip to midwife for reassurance would be good? But otherwise I think it's quite normal.. I've only just started to look preg (ish) now where others looked more preg then me at 12 weeks however I felt movement rediculously early.. Another person got mornig sickness so bad they lost weight in 1st trimester where someone else ate so much they put on 30lbs(this is a non specific point) we are All different and preg is different in everyone! When u do feel it .. You'll love it.. Then 10 mins later baby won't let u sleep n gou'll wish u didn't feel him/ her again :P (much the Same as I wanted a smbump and now I feel fat heavy awkward and like nothing fits All of a sudden)

I have been feeling movement awhile now. My boyfriend had his hand on the bump while I felt movement but said he wasn't sure if it was me or the baby. He better get me a bucket or get out of the way if that's my belly. Blegh. Lol.

My son felt movement for the first time tonight after a meltdown of missing a couple of kicks. He was so happy. We were reading in bed and he feel asleep with his hand on my bump.

This is #1 for me, so I'm not sure what's "normal" but... oh my have I been feeling movement! Some really strong kicks on my right side over the past week. Only on the right side though, is that normal? Why wouldn't have baby have moved in the last few days? And some of them have been so strong they've distracted me from talking. It's definitely something to get used to!

My baby hangs out on the right side most of the time too, but moves occasionally. Sometimes the Wow wiggles make me jump.

Hi Ladies!

I just joined the group and I have a rather odd question about movement...

I'm 21 weeks and I started feeling the kicks last week right before my 20 week ultrasound..right after that, the movements became more powerful pretty quickly and I've been able to actually see it happening from the outside.

Welp.. The other night after having intercourse, I looked down and saw this giant lump down around the lower right side just above my pubic hair. It's one of the main places that I feel the movement. It freaked me out so I turned on my left side to try to see if it would go away and sure enough it did. What am I wondering is . was that the babys head? or other body part ? Why was my belly so lopsided after sex? This was the first time DH and I were intimate in a week or so..so it's been the first time since I've felt the movement. We took it fairly easy..no weird positions or anything so I'm wondering if the baby moved down really low ? 

Also, I haven't had any cramping or discomfort and the "bulge" went away after I turned on my side.

Well I'm glad you're having intercourse. I get bulges too but for no fun reason. Probably the rump sticking out.

My bump always goes really rounded and hard and stuck out after sex.. Someone told me it was Braxton hicks causing it, but I also get bums and heads st k out sometimes too and I go quite lopsoded aswell, baby also likes to lie completely lengthwise across (horizonatally) my belly which makes my bump really weird and feels strange!! When he does this I feel lsortve clawing around my hipe.. Also my ribs are really bruised feeling te last few days which makes me think that the baby's been squishing up under into my ribs a lot when I'm sleeping.. I did start getting a lot of weird movement like feeling like my tummy was being pushed up like a water balloon being patted by a small child.. And ba sick nearly escape completely wretch free because of it a few ones (nice) and also can feel baby kicking my cervix and routing around in my pelvis a lot.. Funny lil thing is he!! Only a few moths left now!!
