That said, I did have a dream that I was feeling lots of movement :p I should go back over to the dream thread, I have had a resurgence of wacky ones!

I bet it wasn't your imagination.  I felt movement really early this time, like 11 weeks.  I felt it for 3 or 4 days in a row (same feeling, same time of the day) and then didn't feel it for a week, then felt something again a few days in a row, then didn't feel anything...now I'm feeling movement every day, but some days just a wee bit of movement.  I am 17 weeks today.

Aw, you all are so sweet. I love these forums. I feel like other places I would have been much more likely to hear "yeah, you probably imagined in" or "women never feel the baby that early in a first pregnancy." joy.gif

At any rate, I am really excited to feel movement again and start feeling it more regularly!

(You know what else I'm strangely eager for ... colostrum. I know it will probably be annoying when/if it starts leaking during pregnancy but I am totally into my boobs right now (omg, so big) and I can't wait to breastfeed!)

Speaking of colostrum...when does that change start happening? Because um, tmi but just tonight in the shower, being all Inspector Gadget-like I realized "wow, that is most definitely where my milk will come out from!"

i've started getting little white dots.. not leaking.. but like solid white dots.. which im told is probably colostrum.. my boobs have grown a good 2 sizes though and are getting to be on the huge side ;) ha..

aww marie indeed these forums are very supportive.. and i wonder if you are more intune with your body if you feel stufff earlier and people on here seem generally a lot more in tune with the universe!

16 weeks now, and nothing. Heard the heartbeat yesterday so I know babe is alive in there. This thread makes me so sad- all of you feeling movement and me with nothing. Maybe I should start a "Has anyone NOT felt movement" thread. orngtongue.gif

you could try the things i do when i dont feel anything for a while.. pushing a bit on your tummy, and gently releasing, or drinking a freeezing cold drink.. altho u mite have the thing where the placentas on the outside? I'm realllllly sensitive to things, im like the princess and the pea, and feel everything!! not necessarily as pain(my pain threshold is very high) but for example when i put a tens machine on my muscles just lock into spasm immediately even on the lowest setting! So im not unsurprised i felt it so early..( i think official stats say 16-22 weeks is when you should start feeling it)

I am 17 weeks and just felt movement - a week earlier than my last pregnancy. It is very mild but also distinct as little kicks. I only feel the kicks a couple of times a day though - often in the evenings.

Awh, you'll feel baby soon I'm sure!  It depends on so many things ~ where your placenta is, whether or not you carry fluff in that area, what number pregnancy it is, how active baby is and where they are haning out...Actually a friend of mine felt really late with her first and she chalked it up to suffering from IBS when she was younger.  She said she'd learned to "tune out" feelings in her abdomen as a way of coping, so had a hard time "tuning in".  So many things can affect it!

And at least you don't feel crazy!  When I thought I felt movement at 11 weeks I decided I was nuts and didn't want to tell anyone because I was sure they'd think I was nuts too! nut.gif

i agree, it def has to do with where they hang out. With DD it would take a couple seconds to find her because she was hidden in my pelvic area. With this one, the babe is front and center and I can feel its body 24/7 because of how out there it is. Every baby is different.

TJ - you are totally normal! I didn't feel my dd until 20 wks, which is on the late side even for first pg, but she never stopped after that!

I could swear I felt something today while sitting in an interview.  It's possible it was gas but it felt different.  I'm nearly 15.5 weeks.  Just a little flutter.  Who knows...

Yea, hi, I'll be 17 wks tmrw and I am so ready to feel something already. I need a reminder that there's actually a living being in there! I have my 2nd MW appt on Thursday so at least hearing the heartbeat will give reassurance. But I seriously question whether there's anything in there. When I hear a hearbeat but feel no movement it's like , seriously? there is REALLY something there??

I am SO in my head about movement, and I hate it! I am sure I've felt it, but then if I don't for a while, I second guess myself, and the cycle continues. I am really looking forward to having no doubts about it! I think a part of the frustration has to do with wanting to really be in touch with what is going on, both physically and intuitively. I am normally pretty aware and in touch with what is going on with my body, so feeling unsure is an uncomfortable place to be in. But I think pregnancy (and birth and parenting...) teaches us lots of lessons about that kind of stuff!

Does it ever! I have a pretty chill personality, so I can't even imagine how hard it is if you don't, but don't worry too much, pretty soon we'll all be at the point where movement is anything but subtle, our bladders and ribs and everything else will be getting kicked and punched galore smile.gif and I can't wait for the hiccups, those always cracked me up with DD.

I'm 13.5 weeks.. And I'm pretty sure I'm feeling movement??? I was like 16 weeks when I felt it with my first, it just seems so early to be feeling it, so I keep questioning it. But today I was laying on my right side for quite a while, (I'm thinking the baby would have been toward the right side cuz of gravity) then got in the bath tub and as soon as the warm water hit my belly I was feeling something on my right lower side. I kinda shrugged it off, then it happened again right in the same spot. I was thinking it must be the baby, at the time. But now I'm second guessing myself. Hopefully I get that "for sure" movement soon!

I am 15 weeks (today!) and while it is still sporadic, I have been feeling more definite movement in the past few days. Which is so reassuring, especially since I've had difficulty feeling movement in the past little while over all the delightful gas:) And then I got quite sick and stopped feeling any movement for a few days, which was pretty stressful. When I went to the doctor I asked to listen for the heartbeat, which she found right away, phew!

I've felt the odd movement since 11 or so weeks probably, but last week (13 weeks and a few days) I felt the first REAL movement. No 'butterflies' about it.

I was lying in bed after having woken up after midnight (thanks, pregnancy) and hadn't eaten since about six, and had already used the bathroom (for the sixth time) so my belly was pretty flat. I reached down to feel the roundness of my uterus (always changing now) and kind of held/pushed, and all of a certain, very strong (for it's size) and right up against the front of my uterus, the baby flipped! It was incredible. It happened a few more times, to the point where I was like "okay baby, gotta get some zzz's, thanks", and when I changed position to get comfier, it was over.

Pretty cool. I've felt other little flutters, but I need to not have a full stomach (rare after I get up in the morning) and be sitting still/laying down/paying attention. So pretty much limited to midnight jaunts for now.

We'll see. I'm only 14 weeks now, so not really too worried about it, but it's really cool when it happens.

I am positive I am feeling movement now! Soo exciting!! We haven't heard the heartbeat yet, so this is just so awesome for me. I have an appt tomorrow so I know we will hear the heartbeat then! But it's just so amazing to now feel the little one and know they're there!!! My placenta with my last pregnancy was anterior and I didn't feel too much movement without sitting and feeling for it, until about 18-20 weeks. And this time I'm wondering if my placenta is more posterior. Because I've been feeling the baby front and center and this early already! I sure am enjoying this!! smile.gif

That's great Mama4life! I'm curious to see where the twins are at my next U/S as they seem to be moving around quite a bit, but aren't really big enough for me to be able to tell anything yet by palpitating smile.gif
