Has anyone felt movement? - Page 5 « Back to Group Discussions

I'm definitely being kicked regularly now (17wk 3d), but I am concerned by just how far over and high I'm feeling the baby. At this point my fundus shouldn't be as high as my belly button yet, but I'm feeling movement above that and as far over as my hip. Either there is a lot of room in there because its my 4th pregnancy in just over 3 years, or I'm beginning to think there might be more than 1 in there. I know I'm totally sure of my dates as I was charting, so what else would make me measure ahead at this point?

I also feel sensations above and below my belly button, but I've been to the midwife not that long ago and I know my fundus is below my belly button.  I conclude that the upper sensations must be from a readjustment of internal space.  As the uterus grows it pushes up on internal organs. I wonder about this as well though.

I think I've been feeling some fluttering for a couple weeks now?  (This is my first so I have no basis for comparison!)  Lately it seems like it's all on the left side, though; not sure if that's normal?

Anyone still in the 'not feeling it' club with me? :p Other than one time right at 14 wks, which I'm not even positive about, nuttin'. (Now at 16+4) It was so weird watching the little thing thrashing around in there on the ultrasound and not being able to feel it.

for those who have been feeling for a while, have any of you had other people able to feel the baby or visibly see it move? i can tell position babys lying in all the time now, and its so funny when it changes, sometimes it sticks its bum out and i get a little bump for abit, then it cuddles my bladder again and bump is gone ;) hehe.. ive had a few people feel my belly and theyve been able to feel the baby movetho.. its nice for me as my preg isnt very visible some people almost question my pregnancy lol ;) until i let them feel it.. and then they love it :D

I'm not really feeling much the past couple days. I'd be nervous if I wasn't only 14 weeks and 3/4 days. Seeing midwife tomorrow, so should be able to hear heartbeat to reassure, but I'm not really worried.

Sometimes I don't really feel movement, but I feel a sudden strong urge to pee which lasts about 10 seconds.  Then it disappears.  It feels like the baby is pressing against my bladder but I'm not sure if that is possible at this point (19 weeks). It's quite different than normally having to pee because it comes and goes quickly.

Splashing, that's interesting! I have been noticing weird urges to pee and then not having much actual pee! Wonder if it's the baby after all. (On the other hand I set my new record for number of times I had to get up to pee in the night the other night - peed before brushing my teeth, about 15 minutes after brushing my teeth, then woke up TWICE to pee in the middle of the night. I hadn't even been drinking that much!)

Lyn, that would be exciting!!!

I have noticed that my uterus sits fairly low normally, but in the middle of the night, after lying down for a few hours, I will feel my belly and it seems way high, like by my belly button. I didn't think it could do that, but I am sure of what I am feeling... Anyone else have this phenom?

I've noticed for a couple weeks now that I feel more when my bladder is full and the kiddo is pushed up into my belly, but all the movement seems to be at naval level or below.

things seem to be changing from general squirmies to more forceful kicks now - I think I got my first real kick while presenting to a client yesterday .

I haven;t been able to see anything on the outside. DH felt some fast rhythmic motion a couple weeks ago, it freaked him out because he thought he was feeling the heart beat! I told him the baby's heart would be faster, and its' buffered in a bunch of water. I think it was just flutter kicking.

Lyn, I don't know if this would apply since you've had pregnancies since your c-section but my OB told me sometimes the uterus is actually attached somewhere a little higher because of scar tissue.  I am feel movement higher than I think I should be too!

Times, Oh how fun to feel and see from the outside!  What a wonderful thing!

Timesway, I've felt two big kicks from the outside and DH thought he felt movement once a couple weeks ago, but I dunno if it was or just digestion. I've got enough padding it's hard to feel from the outside typically until later. Haven't seen anything yet except my belly looking a little wider one day and a little longer others from positions changes I assume!

What I've noticed is that if I've been sleeping on my side, everything gets shifted over to that side.  Like gravity kind of pulled baby, uterus, etc.  So when I first get up, "the bump" is definitely off-center.  Kind of funny....

I am still not sure if I am feeling movement. Everytime I think something is up I just pass gas so who knows.

If I had not seen her doing flips on the ultrasound I might have been a little more worried. From time to time I think I feel her whole body moving, but def not kicks or anything just yet. I am starting to get a little antsy about it since I am 19 weeks. My midwife reassured me that this is okay though. I still do heart tones though when I can sneak off at work and that little heart is just ticking away.....

I am 18 weeks and have been feeling movement regularly for about 2 weeks now. Baby must have been facing forward and kicking, because at 16 weeks my husband and I could both feel her/his movement from the outside. Now it is hit or miss as to whether my husband can feel th baby, but I feel her or him squirming around throughout the day. It is my second baby and I was really surprised at how early I could feel movement this time around. I know it was at least after 20 weeks with my son that anyone besides me could feel him moving.

I'm 19 weeks today and have been feeling lots of flutters since about 14 weeks but honestly it was so up in the air I never got too excited. Every once in a while I'll feel a real pop or flick that if my hand had been there, could maybe be felt, but so far I haven't been lucky yet. I might have accidentally felt one once! I'm excited for my husband to feel, but I'm not excited to feel being kicked constantly for the rest of these months!

Just started feeling the babe when he gets hiccups, it's kinda cute, he had them last night and this morning when he woke up.

I am 17 weeks today and last night and tonight I have been feeling baby move more clearly!  It's so good to feel that since I have been slightly concerned about not feeling it much.

I just found out that my placenta is posterior! I was wondering why I could feel so much this time around. I'm loving it. I'm so glad that I will feel much more this time around. I had an anterior placenta with my first and didn't feel movement for a long time!
