I had this the other day. It was so horrible that I was afraid at first there was something really wrong. What helped me was to get in the floor in a pseudo child pose position (couldn't get totally in the position even though I could a few weeks ago...). I stayed in it for a few minutes and started feeling better. It helped me start burping more. The pain increased again after a while, but eventually the pain subsided.
Just had to reply that I have been experiencing the same things and several times it hurt so bad I thought maybe I was miscarrying but realized it was just GAS!! Craziness...I have to get on the floor like someone else said or get into bed and pull my legs up to my chest to try and get the gas out. I'm not sure if the fizzy water is the best idea...I drink a LOT of it and think that might be contributing to my gas :(
