It's a girl! (We did see a better shot on screen than this, but it is still pretty clear even from this shot)

Baby B, he was being more cooperative for good photos:

3d, his face

3d, whole body

It's a boy! (we have two shots of this, he was really showing off, I like this one because part of the cord and placenta are visible too)

are you having a natural birth?

That's my plan, going to feel out my OB on what she thinks of vaginal birth if twin A is vertex but twin B is breech/transverse and I plan to have no drugs again and to minimize interventions that bug me, some I really don't mind so I accept them to make my hospital stay more smooth since they tend to see me as pretty reasonable then. My guess in unfortunately that she would then want to schedule a c-section if B isn't vertex, so I am hoping I can either find an OB that has some breech experience (especially with twins) or they are both vertex as she is totally fine for that for vaginal birth I know already. Unless something weird is going on, it is pretty easy to deliver the second twin in whatever position assuming the provider has some experience as since you tend to stay dilated, worse case they can reach up and pull the baby out. Not that I want that particularly, but much preferable to a c-section. I'm glad I have one natural hospital birth under my belt, it makes them all a bit more relaxed that I can do it with twins. So right now I'm researching how to get babies head down and thinking head down thoughts, they are still so small yet that they are moving around everywhere, but that won't last!

wow I totally missed this thread! Look at your babies, they are adorable! I love that you got a body 3D shot. We just got the faces :) How often do you have ultrasounds? I get them every 4 weeks.

Somehow I missed this thread (I usually just click on the updates in the daily email I get sent!) but here are our little guys taken on Tuesday.

The tech said they had a lot of fluid around their faces which is why they came out so clear.

jessmn, your shots did turn out really well! She just happened to be able to get a body shot of our boy, so she printed that out for us which was nice. I'm every 4 weeks starting now apparently, the will do a regular ultrasound and a vaginal ultrasound, the former to watch their sizes and amniotic fluid and the latter to make sure my cervix isn't thinning out early. Honestly, I think its a bit overkill especially since I've now got confirmed DZ twins with placentas on opposite sides of the uterus, but I'm going with it for now. I'm at the MFM every 4 weeks now and at my OB still every 4 weeks, I'm at the doctor so much!

lisathena, your babe is so cute, I loved how squished she/he is smile.gif

Same with me; size and fluid and cervix. I haven't had a vaginal ultrasound yet, but was told I'll have one at the next appointment. So far every time I've had an ultrasound they print off pictures, which is way too fun. My husband loves getting attention at work showing off all the pictures :P I know, I wish I could schedule the ultrasound and OB visits for the same day, but they are off by like a week each time. Luckily for me I work a flexible 4 day work week so I don't usually have to take time off.

That's so exciting you are having B/G twins! I wanted B/G (I have a twin brother myself) but got two boys :)

I'm really excited about the B/G twins, it's just what I wanted smile.gif I have 2 sets of B/G twins cousins and one set of B/B twin cousins (they are fraternal twins too), that's cool that you are a twin yourself! Yeah, I have a ton more U/S pictures this time! Luckily my boss is totally flexible about our work hours, so it isn't too much of an issue, but it is still a pain especially since the MFM office is 20-25 minutes away, my OB is 5-10 which is no big deal. At least they have both been good about scheduling me in the morning so I usually just go after I drop DD off and then go to work after so it isn't so disruptive.
