Still home - just got off the phone with my midwife who seems frustrated with me that I did not come to the hospital for a NST today. (I have a doppler at home and baby has been fine/moving a ton all day) I had a feeling if I went today I would somehow have stayed there and given up.  I have an appt tomorrow morning at 10am which will be 37 hours after water breaking.  I'm starting to get a little depressed about it.  Am hoping whatever happens, I can get a good night sleep tonight.

I'm sorry you're getting depressed about your progression. I hope you can get some rest, as you have a big event coming SOON, even if it doesn't quite seem like it.

hug.gif Hang in there mama! I have read stories about mamas with leaking waters for several days who have gone on to spontaneous labor. As long as you're comfortable with how things are going and baby is doing well, I personally would ride it out too. smile.gif Keep us posted and let us know how you're doing emotionally. hug2.gif I had  several days of prodromal labor with my second and it was pretty disheartening, so I can only imagine what you are feeling right now.

Oooh, that's exciting news!  I hope you're getting some rest!  My mom says her water broke 3 days before labor started when I was born-- but that was in a more hands-off era, I guess.  Don't forget to drink lots.  Can't wait to hear how it goes!

your mw is probably just annoyed because we are squeaking toward the weekend and she wants you to deliver on a weekday :p

I wish I had stayed home after my water broke with DD2, I think the birth would have been a lot easier if I had. I say trust your instincts! Get some rest!

thank you so much for all the kind words and thoughts, they have been helpful to me!

my contractions started up around 2am and have been regular ever since.  we met the midwife at the hospital about 2 hours ago, I was 3cm then.  Not sure now, limiting exams since it's been 36 hours since my water broke.

kids are home (no school for them today because of baby) with the inlaws and my darling husband is SNORING on the chaise near my bed.  hoping things keep moving and I don't need anything else....

just a side note, I forgot how much more painful contractions are after the water breaks!  I'm always so lucky that is breaks nearing the end or while pushing....oy.

Glad things are finally moving!! Sorry it's painful :( I hate when they snore while you labor, so inconsiderate :p

Hoping no news is good news! smile.gif

I hope everything is moving along smoothly!  I agree, ctx really do suck once your waters break.  My easiest labour by far, was with my second baby, when my membranes remained intact right up until baby started crowning.

Looking forward to reading your news!
