Today I am 16w4d and I was told they should be able to find out what the baby is. After nearly 40 minutes of trying the tech was visibly frustrated. Much like DD, this little one had their legs criss-crossed and tightly closed. She finally went and got a different tech to help out and that lady had me turn on my side and lean forward and with a bit more prodding she excitedly announced what we were expecting. I, of course, asked "Are you sure?" and she showed me the bits and said she was certain.

It's a girl!

We have decided to name her Virginia Marie. Virginia is my maternal grandmother and Marie is the middle name of DH's mother. 

DD is Adriana (ah-dree-ah-nuh) Jo. Adriana is DH's paternal grandmother and Jo is the middle name of my mother.

See the pattern? =)

No feeling what-so-ever about what this one or DD was. And DH totally blurted out how the intelligender was BS after our results. I lol'd.

Thank you! Our OB's anatomy scan isn't even scheduled yet. Based off of our uncertain experience with DD through them I went ahead and made an appt for the 'Gender Package' with a local 3D/4D place. They had me come in much earlier than I ever expected but I didn't argue too much because I was anxious to find out. I'm just hoping that this one is still a girl come time for that appt. ;P

Congrats! We had our anatomy scan on Monday and the tech and doc both said Girl but also said they were only 90% sure. We will get confirmation in 2weeks. I felt boy the whole time but am just THRILLED to have a daughter

We have a scan scheduled for November 27th. I'll be 18w4d then. I'm still torn between wanting to find out, and wanting it to be a surprise. Well, not really torn, I want it to be a surprise. But I want to know. Anyway... I can't wait to hear what more people are having!

I have only posted in the member list thread, but I am a dedicated lurker! 

We just found out yesterday we are having a GIRL too! We didn't find out the sex when I was pregnant with my son but we really, really wanted to know this time and we really, really wanted a girl! 

I'm just 16 weeks but my doc fancies himself some kind of ultrasound whiz and says he is more than 90% sure- we were lucky to be able to see the money shot too- little one looked like she was on her back with legs spread in the air lol. We thought it was pretty clear. 

Actually, had a long conversation with the doctor after about determining the sex- he often finds it easier a few weeks before the anatomy ultrasound because the baby is still very small and has lots more room to maneuver around. It's easier to get the baby in the right position and because baby is still a skinny little thing the view isn't too crowded. It made sense to me. 

It's such a different experience knowing the sex. I'm glad we didn't find out the first time, but I'm glad we did this time.

Congrats!! That is the reasoning I heard of why earlier is better as well. It definitely makes sense to me.
