Wow. That's a bargain, Cananny.

I wonder why so much cheaper than the u/s at the hospital. For my first preg visit, which does include bloodwork, it was over $1k and after insurance I still owe $300- I have to assume the u/s was at least a few hundred!

Is this in addition to an anomaly scan or are you working completely independently of a hospital for your prenatal care?

WOW...that's an expensive ultrasound. Around here they are 300ish dollars for the standard ones. There is a place that has a 3d/4d package for 150 or 190 or something like that....I never do that but still...ouch...

90.00 IS cheap though...yay! Glad you are getting to find out. I'm excited to see what you are having Cananny. :)

TWO MORE DAYS until our ultrasound to determine if my spidey senses are right or waaay off LOL ;) I guess we COULD get a glimpse at the sex but being a few days before 16 weeks I wouldn't trust it most likely.

Tiff4ny (and others smile.gif )

Did you make the photo announcement yourself or find an image online?

While we will find out the sex next week we are not going to share it with anyone. But we plan to announce our pregnancy to our friends this week.

I would like to make a gender neutral photo announcement (with shoes or baby clothes) but I am not sure how.

Munchkin, that is my own photo. I was hoping to use actual tennis shoes for DH too but his were all nasty so his boots were the next best alternative.

I didn't want to be in any actual photo and I had seen something similar to mine on pinterest so that was the winner!

After you took the photo what software program did you use to add the text?

I just used a program called pages already installed on my macbook to add text over it. You could even use something like mspaint on a windows computer. I didn't buy anything fancy. Just found a text and color I liked and plopped it on there. Cropped the picture a bit and voila!

Three more days

I have some plans storming in my head for announcing whatever we find out between this ultrasound and the anatomy scan. :)

We've started a new tradition of sending out cards for Thanksgiving instead of Christmas, so I'm planning on announcing the sex of the baby on that. (after saying from, our family, I'll add, and a new little girl that we're very thankful for... or something like that) My appointment's monday, so I'm just ordering cards through Walmart so I can pick them up the same day and have them out in the mail the next. I really really hate having to announce the sex of the baby, because when you do it in person, the other person is put on the spot to make some sort of cheerful comment on why that sex is better than the other; I dunno, it just bothers me. And people in my family get funny if they're not told immediately, and in a certain order. and I don't want to have the same conversation 20 times.  I'm such a downer; I should embrace it, I know.

A Thanksgiving greeting could be a fun way to announce a pregnancy too... like, instead of turkey this year, we have a bun in the oven, or something.

Just got home from our anatomy scan:

It's a BOY!

This will be our second. With our first (14 months old now), we gave him a family name we both love, so that was easy. Now we have to figure out a name for this guy! Such a fun dilemma!

It's a GIRL!

She is an active little thing, and kept wiggling her bottom out of the way of the scan--the tech was very sweet about it, though. BF came to the appointment, and is so excited for our girl!

Congratulations everyone!  For some reason I just haven't ventured into this thread since we've only ever been team green and it just never occurred to me, but I'm so excited for you all!!!

I've been looking for an update!!  Maybe he'll be like my "little" guy was...always huge, measuring ahead, initially thought multiples because of my measurements and the way he was practically bursting out of the womb before most people even start feeling movement, etc. LOL
