Hello all! This is my first time posting in this particular thread...
I have a three month old daughter, and my husband had a vasectomy yesterday.
we decided to do this for the following reasons:
I had pregnancy complications, namely hyperemesis and severe depression
i also had labor complications and transported to a hospital after 36 hours for a C section
we want to be able to afford to send our daughter to a wonderful montessory school/ elementary school, and beyond, but could not afford the kind of education we want for 2 children.
we feel it is the ecologically responsable thing to do.
We want to be able to focus all of our energy onto raising one child, instead of having a split focus.
I am not looking for advice, the vasectomy has already happened. I am just feeling a little blue knowing I won't be having anymore children. I still feel that we made the right choice, but I am sad.
Can anyone offer me some solace about the benefits of having an only child?
I hope everyone is doing well today! thank you!

It must have been a tough decision. I cant offer you much because I do not share your need for mothering more than one kid. We can afford more kids but we dont want anymore.
