NEXT month!! - Page 3

Wow - I don't think I'd trust myself to trim down there with a mirror!  I have a hard enough time coloring the hair on my head with a mirror - that whole coordination thing.  But my DP is very excited to use the electric shaver anyway, so I wouldn't want to deny him the pleasure;)

I've probably still got lots to do, but to be honest my main daily goal is to get the house a little bit nicer each day. - so far it's been great, every day DP comes home and is thrilled.  I did order a new round of prenatal vits and dha today though - I'm at the point where babe is supposed to be having the biggest growth spurt of pregnancy (34-37 weeks-ish) and so my big goal right now is nutrition.

By December 1st I need to:

~ Have Christmas tree up and house decorated

~ Have everything planned/purchased for DD's 6th birthday (party on December 2nd)

~ Have all Christmas gifts for the kids purchased and wrapped

~ Purchase bottles/labels for the homemade vanilla extract that I made/have everything filled, labeled, wrapped, shipped etc. for those who are getting homemade sugars and extracts from us

~ Get my eye brows waxed (otherwise it will bug me because it will be months before I can get out to do it)

~ Get rid of unwanted toys to make room for new gifts and baby stuff

~ And lastly, back up all the photos on my computer so I don't lose a bunch of pictures again!

I am feeling confident that I will be able to knock that list out in the next 30 days in between running my kids around to their various activities, doing my regular daily SAHM duties and volunteering at the Rescue Mission (it is one of my very, very favorite things to do during the holidays)!!

I just got to cross another thing off my list and wanted to share the finished product! (I can't show it to anyone else because then they would know what they are getting for Christmas)!! I seriously stressed about these and wondered if they were going to turn out. I have such a huge sigh of relief that I am done! Most of them are wrapped now and I realized only 4 of the packages need to be shipped! YEAH!!! joy.gif
Christmas sugars and extracts.....1000

Yes I wouldn't be surprised if this one was born in November - I'll be 36w Monday.

I'm a little worried cause MW said she wouldn't be surprised if my birth was fast.  I really want to get DS squared away first (at friend's) and comfortably arrive at hospital.  Then baby can come LOL.

- Finish stitching changing table cover

- Buy proteiny snacks for hospital (In the end they aren't too proteiny but I do have some good looking crackers / biscuits...)

- Pack my bag and a bag for DS

- Scrub the tons of hard water deposit off the awesome suspended tub/changing table we've been handed down

- Get some more bamboo wipes (oh so soft) and onesie extenders for CDing

- Fill up freezer for first few days

- Get  Wrap big brother prezzie for DS

- Get some travel bottles for conditioner, face wash

- Put some mp3s on my phone for labor

- Finish reading Ina May's Guide to Childbirth (rereading this pregnancy)

And something I've been wanting to do for YEARS before having another one LOL is finish my son's baby book = pick and print pictures for each age basically.

So all I've left to do is what I've been meaning to do the longest... finish DS's baby book...! Oh well I guess the birth of his brother is an arbitrary deadline on that one!  Maybe I'll do his and his brother's simultaneously over the next year.

Otherwise there is nothing pressing I feel I *need* to have done... I should get ahead on some housework I guess.

Yes, I am ready for baby!  39w tomorrow!

tropicana - I am IMPRESSED! Those labels look gorgeous. I wish I was on your Christmas list ;)

Stegan - I agree with kel, don't think I could do that, even with a mirror. But DP has enjoyed watching me squirm while he takes care of that duty with the electric trimmers. It's hard for me to stay still, I giggle the whole time, lol....

Lilac - I have been trying to catch up on scrapbooks & such as well. I did get a bunch of pages done, and I am grateful for that, but the idea of actually catching up is just not on my radar!

Some bigger things on my list are to:

Pay MW off next week.

Hit up the medical supply store for some chux for the birth and some plaster strips so I can do a belly cast, too.

Do and decorate said belly cast.

Go thrifting for extra towels & sheets for the birth.

Keep freezing soups and easy meals.

Finish all of current projects I have waiting including about 6 knitting projects and dd's fleece coat.

Order a few last minute things like snappis and post partum herbs.

Play the car seat shuffle and figure out everyone's new seat in the car. I'll have one ff 5 point, & 2 rear facers.

Start taking naps- seriously, I'm exhausted right now!!

* get hose connector and second hose for birth tub

* wash longies and soakers since my wool wash and lanolin came in the mail a few days ago

* get a good photo of us over the weekend so I can print them out and send them with Christmas cards on Dec 1st, (that are already written out!)

* Order more diabetes supplies for dd1 just so we are stocked up over the holidays.

Things to add to the list:

*Get Christmas cards/gifts in the mail by the end of the week

*knit the girls their own sweater for Christmas

*finish the three little waldorf dolls that I started tonight

*make some smaller Christmas gifts for my little family. I'm done shopping, but now I feel like they don't have enough "mama mades"

Thought I'd update since I just keep plugging away at things while we wait!

We are good to go, birth wise. I have everything I could need for that and am really just working on the things I would like done for Christmas. By the end of the week I hope to have all of our cards and gifts in the mail and done. I've got a few things to make for those, but mostly everything is ready to go, they just need to be addressed and stamped.  I have a few more knit projects to work through, and if I would stop starting new ones, I would have been done a week ago!

Wooo, with the exception of actually shipping the Christmas gifts I AM DONE!!!
My MIL comes in 2 days though so I need to scrub bathrooms and dust the house between now and then! We have DD's birthday party on Sunday and then I am done. That will bring me right to 39 weeks and then I will be twiddling my thumbs for a couple weeks (while my MIL watches me like a hawk and asks me if if every ache, pain or contraction is labor like she did last time.....good times winky.gif)

9. Get diaper pail

10. Get diaper bag, if none is gifted at Blessingway

11. Get Moby, if none is gifted at Blessingway (I have only asked for 3 thing, including these 2, so pretty hopeful!)

12, Get at least 2 massages, including a labor-inducing massage at 38 weeks :)

I have all these lists of details too - like groceries for Thanksgiving week, plans/schedules for people coming in to town, etc. And of course we have soccer schedules, and my DS got an acting job for today/tomorrow (of course he did - I finished my working hours, only to have working hours for him to deal with, lol!). Life goes on, right?

Wanted to check my lists here - I'm very happy to say I am DONE. I got a diaper pail today, got a Moby and diaper bag as gifts, and will be getting that 2nd massage tomorrow at 10am. Wohoo!!!

So you THINK.... ;)

(we can hope, right?)

and I had to shave and tweeze and mani again. I don't want to have to do that again with a big ol' preggo belly in the way...

I won't list all of it here but the general jist is:

-food for after baby arrives

-create a space in our room for the baby (shelving for clothes, diapers and a spot for the bassinet)

-attend my baby shower and then figure out what additional things we might need (clothing or supplies wise)

-find a name for this bub!

-adjust dd's radian, wash the cover and re-install for baby

-keep knitting! longies, soakers, warm tops and hats and booties

-order pp herbs

-buy new linens and pillows for bed (I don't know, it's just something I like after birth - to have fresh, unslept in linens)

-clean and get reacquainted with breastpump

-make sure I have plenty of things to do in bed after babe is born (reading, stitching, knitting)

-get Christmas gifts bought and wrapped before December

-put together birth essentials for the birth center

-have some extra emergency supplies on hand in case baby comes fast and is born at home

-get ds and dd situated with clean, organized rooms, chore charts, winter clothes and things to do at the birth

Not so bad, right? Also, I know that if it doesn't all get done baby will still come! I feel better just getting everything written down. Now I have a plan!

Yay! I could finally cross a few things off this list! Still need to pack for the bc (talk about procrastination). We're 37 +1 today so I need to get a move on.

My list:

1) Get a birth plan written for possible hospital birth

2) Get a few more things together for planned home birth.

3) Interview one more pediatrician and make final decision about that

4) Decide once and for all if I am going to encapsulate my placenta and line up someone to do that

5) Take breastfeeding class

6) Read at least one breastfeeding book and one that covers newborn care

7) Get some meals in the freezer for postpartum

8) Buy remaining necessity items off of my registry

9) Set up cosleeper, etc

10) Wash newborn clothes and diapers

11) Get carseat installed/inspected

12) Familiarize myself with how my breast pump works

13) try not to panic

Alright - other than the breast pump that is still in the box, I am feeling pretty darn ready!

Yay, me!  I figured out what to give all the live-far-away-package-must-be-mailed-to-them family members.  I bought pretty, small canning jars and am filling them with cinnamon sugar.  It's such a cozy, comforting thing to have around for a small sweet treat of cinnamon toast.  And we are giving every set of cousins the same thing this year - the book Press Here which all three of my kids (8, 6, & 3) LOVE.  So I actually have 1 out of the 4 boxes I need to mail packed and basically ready to go.  I just need to get some more cinnamon, because I ran out (we have a large extended family!)

Thanks. I can't take too much credit for the labels. I just picked the ones I wanted off a website and personalized them. The company did all the work and sent me the labels. My printer could never do that!

Unfortunately Marcus was born a few days after I posted that picture and the sugars and extracts are still sitting here...nothing has been addressed or shipped. I told DH this morning that I will be so upset if they don't make it to people by Christmas after I started this project back in AUGUST!!! He assured me that in the big scope of life this was not a big deal. winky.gif
