A quick little update on me... I'm now abt 25 hrs out from my cerclage surgery! And boy am I glad... I won't lie it was awful! The spinal, the surgery, and the crazy pain after. Worst pain of my life! Pure hell! At one point in the recovery room the pain was so bad I actually asked my DH if I was dying. greensad.gif I really thought I was. But today is a new day ałtho I still can't move un assisted, I no longer feel like I'm dying. And with loads of help managed a shower this morning. Baby's heart beat is nice ànd strong too! Just checked it this morning! I'm so glad! Now to just get through the next 2weeks as they are the most critical!

So glad that is over for you!  I am sorry it was such a horrible experience. :(  Praying that you heal up soon and that the rest of your pregnancy is a breeze!!!!

I am having an online Thirty-One party and am hoping to get a new diaper bag in the end. (I don't know if I can post a link, but if anyone is interested I can PM or email it to you...it goes until the 11th)  I have a sort of addiction to bags...I only ever carry one for diaper bags, but I LOVE switching bags and re-organizing and I adore lots of pockets and dividers and what not. LOL  I've gone through a lot of different bags but have two Thirty-One bags specifically for diaper bags (the organizing utility tote and the cargo purse) but I didn't get to use them much since we were pretty much done with diapers by the time I got them.  But I love the Thirty-One stuff, it's so cute and versatile.

I also ended up sending out a wish list to my mom.  I just figured, what the heck!?!  I know that she will freely share it if anyone asks her if we need anything, so I feel like that's covered.  Because I'm not good at telling people what we need when they ask even if we really do NEED things.  Just hate doing it.

1babysmom - I'd totally be interested if they would ship to Canada! Ugh. When I was visiting my FSM in Ohio I hunted down a local 31 rep and bought an organizing utility tote she had on hand. I'd been wanting one for over a year!

Would any of you ladies mind visiting the Mothering costume contest thread and giving my entry a thumbs up vote? http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1366791/show-off-your-spooky-style-enter-the-mothering-halloween-costume-contest-sponsored-by-barefoot-books

Dang....first SPD, now sciatica!  Is anyone else already dealing with it??

I have always carried really low, and I wonder if even this early in pregnancy carrying low can have an effect (even though there's not much weight).

I'm a little over 15 weeks and my morning sickness has FINALLY let up! Very excited not to be nauseas all.day.long!

We applied for an apt a couple weeks ago and should hear back this week if we got it. So hoping we got it, its a lovely apt!

I have been feeling quite a bit of movement lately too.  Its still only flutter or pops, but I can definitely tell its baby and not gas.

I wanted to post (not sure if I can here) but my DH and I have started up a small sales business and the company we signed up with is having a promotion right now where you can buy 5 Variety Ribbon Giftcards for the price of 4 plus free shipping. These gift cards are awesome for Christmas, especially for people you don't know what to buy them. They don't know the price of the gift card and they get up to 40 high-quality, brand-name products to choose from. Let me know if anyone's interested and you can PM me for details.

I'm having some pains that I didn't have until late pregnancy last time (baby was really low too, and off to one side).  My midwife said it's not so much the weight right now, but just that after multiple pregnancies, things are just stretched and worn and your body can't support stuff as well, so any issues like that that you had with previous pregnancies are likely to return, and at an earlier date. Not what we want to hear!  I'm not sure if SPD is what I have.. I need to research that more. No hip/back pain, its just like down there vaginal area pain and pressure and swelling. I'm researching support belts, and sitting on a fitness ball for temporary relief. I hear the ball is good for back pains too. The kids are really jealous of mama's new toy, though!

Feeling flutters and bumps here too...where are you all feeling yours?

Three more days. this week is the slowest ever (ultrasound on thursday).

A front came thru last night I woke up with a THROBBING head ache. I rarely take anything...but had to resort to tylenol. ugh.

Off to work on being a teacher lol ;)

That sounds like varicose veins!  Ick!  I don't struggle with them much during pregnancy but totally do during my cycles.  It's a really miserable feeling.  Though I do find using tucks pads or witch hazel soaked pads, just like after birth, helps relieve it.

Yeah, it definitely starts earlier each time!  I actually didn't even have the sciatica with #2 and #3, but the SPD has kicked my but earlier and earlier with every baby.  I'm really trying harder to stay on top of it though.

...AND....looks like the flu is knocking on our door.  We are pushing the sodium ascorbate, zinc, selenium, elderberry, oscillococcinum, etc, etc....  Hubby is on Virastop and kiddos are on plant sterols and epicore too.  Hopefully worst case scenario will be a mild case for us all.  I've had a nasty bout of the flu in late pg. before and I figure it can't get much worse then that, being huge AND miserable. LOL  Thankfully we have a lot of resources for dealing with it though.

I've been feeling more movement too!  I love love love it.  I've been surprised at how high I've been feeling some of them.  Usually they're directly in between my belly button and pubic bone, or off to the side, but occasionally I'll get them at belly button height.  One time I was even laying down and just kinda palpating around and my stomach totally moved when baby kicked itself away from one side. It was awesome.  My kids are DYING to be able to see and feel baby.  My 6.5 year old will sit and stare at my belly and say, "I saw it!" but she has yet to really see it. LOL

We are starting a bunch of Thanksgiving unit studies today and it feels so good to be occupied with near Christmas stuff. LOL  I looooooove the holiday and just cannot wait!!  Plus, we celebrate our 9th anniversary on 12/20 (married at 18 & 21 yrs :) ) and that will be fun, too.  We were planning on doing something bigger, like going somewhere for a weekend, since we've never really left our kids before and this is the one chance we've had since DD1 was born where our children are actually old enough to stay a couple nights without issues (and the first time I haven't been BF'ing :( ), but DH is going to go back to school for about 9 months starting in January and money has to go to that instead. :(  Boo.

I saw the midwife today (a new one, with six midwives in the practice we rotate between all of them) - she confirmed what i have been feeling is RLP and normal. and that everything looks good. and the heartbeat sounds strong. cant wait for the U/S next week!

I'm feeling baby lots more too - several times a day now! It's almost exclusively on my right side, occasionally more towards the middle, but never on the left. The majority of the time it'spretty high too, and that's surprised me as well. The kids are also anxiously waiting to feel it too, and my 8yo asks almost every day when she'll be able to feel it <3

I was supposed to have my big u/s on Wednesday but we're having to reschedule it. greensad.gif We own our own business and haven't been able to afford insurance the last few years so we applied for state medical, which we'd been approved for in the past. Because of the business, they want to see all sorts of documentation to prove that I'm not being dishonest about the amount of income I bring home. We expected this, but it's taking longer then expected. I'm still 90% sure we'll qualify, but I don't want the bill for the u/s hanging over our heads if it doesn't. I'm sooooo ready to know what this baby is already and it makes me so sad to reschedule. Hopefully we'llhave it worked out by the end of the week and we can reschedule it for next week.

I got it in my head that I wanted to start switching bedrooms around today while simultaneously going through weeding stuff out for trash/donation. I managed to get a good amount done and huge trash and donation piles made but there is still so much left to do. It looks like a bomb exploded in the two bedrooms. I got my closet switched with daughters and emptied out what will be DH's closet. His closet is always such a mess that I refuse to transfer his stuff so he'll be doing that tonight. Once his old closet is clear I can begin to put all the new baby stuff in that one and then begin to switch furniture between the rooms. Having the girls in the bigger bedroom will make life so much easier. Plus it's big enough to put ALL of their toys in so I can have my living room free of kids toys / trampolines / toy boxes again. I'm so excited to get it all done. I'm even more excited to begin taking loads of stuff to the donation drop off. I want it all out of the house!

On the downside... While I'm in the stage where nearly all pregnancy symptoms are muted and I feel like I can go go go, my body has a way of smacking me down hard when I've done too much. I'm at that point right now and am obediently sitting on the couch with my feet up. ;)

Oh, firespiritmelody! How frustrating about the insurance! I hope things get figured out quickly, and that you can get your scan rescheduled so you can know! State/government takes so long sometimes, and it seems like when you need/want it the most, it takes the longest.

I'm a little confused about the switching bedrooms part, but I'm glad that you are excited and it seems to be going smoothly for you. :) I am somewhat looking forward to that once we get completely settled into the house, but since I have boy/girl kids, I'm not sure where to put the communal toys. Still time to figure it out, though. :)

AFM: I think I'm about at that same spot, TIFF4NY. I can make it through the morning/early afternoon alright, and most of work, but about... nine o'clock hits, I'm done.

DF texted me at work to tell me that DD has been getting in trouble on the bus, and that the bus driver came by and talked to him. Apparently, she's not been staying in her seat, and has been calling one of her friends names. I guess both DF and my mom have talked to her about it, and neither one of them could get her to tell them why or what's going on, except that the other girl called her names (but didn't say if that was before or after DD called her names). It's very out of character for her. She has had some anger issues in the past, but she's been doing so much better. I don't know, but it is very disheartening. The bus driver said if she doesn't start acting right, she's going to get kicked off the bus, and if that happens... I don't know how she'll get to school. greensad.gif

I have been feeling all kinds of bumps and wiggles lately. For a good part of yesterday, I felt hardly any movement, and I started to worry, but DF reminded me that Baby is still really little, so I probably won't necessarily feel him/her all the time, and also that there were quite a few times with DD and DS that I didn't feel any movement, and they were fine.

Thanks bmcneal <3 I'm crossing my fingers that we'll get it figured out tomorrow or Wednesday.

Tiffany - we did some major "nesting" this weekend too - took *ALL* the clothes out of my girls room and went through everything and sorted it and purged a bunch and we're redoing all their closets and dressers and getting rid of a ton of stuff. I felt pretty good while doing it, but man did it kick my butt at the end of the night!! I was beat!

bmcneal - Our house is 2300 sqft but only has 2 bedrooms (built in 1949). All of the rooms in the house are oversized and our bedroom rivals the size of a bonus room. Since we hope to stay here for a long while I decided to switch our bedrooms so the kids bedroom/playroom will be in our current bedroom and we'll have our bed in what is currently DD's bedroom. Our king, a cosleeper and our night stands will fit just fine in that room and the closets in each room are identical so we're not losing space there. Neither has an attached bathroom.

By making the larger room the kid area I can move all of the kid stuff spread throughout the house into there and regain some of my spaces back! It's proving to be a lot of work right now as I'm also going through everything to sort out stuff for donating/trash but I'm going to feel much much better when it's all done.

Besides, I get the urge to move all the time so moving bedrooms should help me feel better in that dept. It'll be like a whole new house or something. ;)

firespiritymelody - It definitely feels good to get it all done but my body just is wrecked afterwards. I was super sore waking up this morning.
