anyone have experience with progesterone? « Back to Group Discussions

Long story short, I experienced low milk supply with my DD and am trying to avoid that this time around.  I've heard that progesterone supplementation in pregnancy can help grow breast tissue (also might be linked to hypertension in pregnancy, which I had as well).  Also, now that DD is 19 months and has teeth, I can see clearly that she has a lip tie.  Undiagnosed despite thousands of visits to the breastfeeding clinic.  Any advice or experience with this?

I used progesterone until 11 weeks with my daughter, as well as earlier on during this pregnancy.  I can't say though that I know anything about how it affects breast issue development. I did experience a drop in milk production during this pregnancy and I was still breastfeeding my daughter and on progesterone, but I do not know if this was related to be pregnant, progesterone, or any other combination of factors.
