November Infertility "ONE" Thread - Page 4

planegreen- I had mine tested at 27 (but not when I was 26, although that was a different office). I think you can probably request it if they haven't tested you. Also, they may only test it in preparation for IVF because it is an indicator of how well your body will react to stimulation drugs. Sorry to hear about the office closure and your delay in treatment. It is nice to have a 'relaxed' month here and there but frustrating to have to keep on waiting.

SSB- Beautiful embie! It looks absolutely perfect in every way. Little baby boom right there on our screen! Dec 10 does seem like lightyears away, moreso because I don't start stims until the 17/18 so my beta won't be until like... January 14th ... so faaaaar away. Thank you for offering to take over for december. We could use some threadkeepers luck.

Brichole- Its about time your ovaries kicked in! Yay!! Can't wait for good news from you!

AFM- BCPs. What a drag.

Just a quick flyby to say hi, and I'm reading along, and not posting much of anywhere, except sometimes my DDC. But also to say about the AMH/Vitamin D thing... that is interesting. I hadn't heard that before. I will say I tested slightly deficient in vitamin D and sky-high for AMH, both common findings for people with PCOS.

AFM, parenting is hard. But this is neither the time nor place to talk about that. I hope you all get to find that out for yourselves soon. (Or better yet, find out that you're much better at parenting than I am!) Baby Bird is still growing, growing, growing. His oral motor issues are still being worked on, but he is thankfully thriving. He has recently learned to grasp things and babbles a ton. Hopefully I will get to do a longer update on the grads thread sometime soon. So hopeful good things will be happening on this thread soon!

Hi Monkey- Thanks for popping in! I've been stalking everyone on the grads thread and hope to join you all again soon. Toothfairy2be- I absolutely abhor bc pills and was miserable this last time on them! AFM- Consults and doppler went well. I passed the doppler with flying colors this year- something I did not do last year. I get to avoid those awful viagra suppositories this time around. Also, since I'm doing PIO shots, the RE doesn't feel the need for extra Estrogen (with all my allergies, estrogen support is super complicated). I have my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork tomorrow and if all looks good, then I start stims on Thursday. I have to start my Dexamethasone today. Can you adjust my blurb slightly to say: Currently on IVF Day 2, retrieval estimated for Dec. 9 and transfer for the 14th.

Deborah:  I'm so happy that all went well...retrieval day will be here before you know it!!!

AFM: I'm so nervous! My body has been reacting so slow to the medications that i'm scared that tomorrow they will tell me have to come back again friday and continue to take the menopur the rest of this week...my poor belly is getting tired of these shots!!! It's been about 6 weeks since my last period and i've been doing medication ever since CD5....I just don't want anymore "we have to wait and see" from the nurse. Granted, it made me feel really good when the 2 nurses who worked in the office when i was there 3 years ago when we first started our journey still remember me....like i haven't been gone for almost 2 years! It was a nice feeling that they are very encouraging with my cycles too.  I just hope that I can at least trigger by thursday night because i'm off the rest of the weekend and it would be "perfect timing" for us to do our timed BDing....we'll see what the nurse tells me to do tomorrow once my blood work comes back.

I hope everyone else is doing great!

Hi all- Just a quick drive-by. My ovaries were quiet like they should be according to the ultrasound technician. Waiting to hear back on bloodwork results. If all looks good, i start my shots early tomorrow morning.

Once again I dropped off the face of the planet, at least on the internet. It's both good & bad to see so many familiar names, all moving forward in your journeys. I stalk the thread through email updates to my phone so I feel like I never really left and I've been rooting so many of you on from the shadows.

I come back to share some hopefully good news and the main focus of all my neurosis right now. Last month I did 100mg of Clomid days 2-7 and got a positive test on Wednesday 11/21 but started bleeding bright red the very next day. I assumed chemical pregnancy and went to start taking the Clomid again on what I counted as cd2. When I noticed on cd3 that the bleeding was tapering off, very different from my usual 5-6 days of heavy bleeding, so I took another test and it was even darker than the ones I'd gotten the day before the bleeding started. Kept testing and getting stronger looking tests, got a beta on Monday and again yesterday. The first one was 79 and yesterday's was 123 but they said my progesterone was a little low. I'm going back Monday for another just to make sure my progesterone went up and possibly get supplemented and get an u/s scheduled. Other than the pregnancy 4+ years ago that ended at 12 weeks, this is the closest I've ever been. Still not sure how to feel much about it but I'm hoping that will come with time. So many of you have been there for me over the past 5 years in a way that no one in my day to day life could have possibly done.

Deborah: yay for quiet ovaries!!

SimplyRochelle:  Sending out lots of great sicky vibes!!! I hope that this little one sticks and stays for a long and healthy 9 months!!!

AFM:  I took 1/2 of my Ovedril tonight and I take the other half on saturday morning as soon as I wake up!! I am BEYOND excited!! When i went in today my lead follicle was 16 and its "neighbor" (as the nurse put it) was at a 15.  There was only 1 on the left side that was an 11 so they weren't really concerned with that one! I was told to make sure we have sex tonight and tomorrow night then Saturday night and sunday night...just to cover our basis!!! I am so excited that we are this close to possibly getting pregnant again!  This is going to be the LONGEST 2 week wait ever!!! I am hitting the $tree tomorrow so I can see when the trigger shot is gone...so i can buy my "expensive" test and hopefully get a "PREGNANT" reading!! Geezz...i'm so nervous!!!

SimplyRochelle...   I am so happy to hear your hopeful news!!!! You give me hope, too! My only BFPs also ended in losses about 4 years ago. Sending you my fondest wishes that everything turns out wonderfully, and your baby is healthy and happy!

Sending loads of sticky sticky thoughts your way Rochelle.

Congrats and sticky vibes SimplyRochelle. All looked good with my bloodwork yesterday so I started Menopur and Saizen this morning and will have Bravelle this evening. I also started Dexamethasone on Monday and Letrozole today. I, of course, have my prenatals and all my supplements. I have to go in Sunday for another ultrasound and blood draw to see how things are looking in there. I'm already having some dizzy spells and nausea, but that doesn't surprise me and is hopefully good practice for what's to come.

Thanks ladies! I just can't seem to get excited about it and my husband is making me feel kind of guilty about it. I keep thinking maybe I'll feel better after Monday's beta but I know that's probably not the case. If I hadn't had that bleeding, I might not be so worried but I just don't have a good feeling about it.

Brichole- how exciting! I never used a trigger but I always thought it would be kind of fun to test it out!

And Deborah, I hope you start to see less side effects soon, though steroids can be miserable! May the days pass quickly!

Congratulations Rochelle! Lots of sticky vibes are being sent your way. You give us all hope!

Congrats Rochelle! sticky vibes for you! goodvibes.gif

Yeah, I'm on Saizen so we'll see how that goes. They said it makes bigger, healthier eggs, so it will be worth it. I also am on Menopur and Bravelle until they put me on Gannirelix. That doesn't even count the Letrozole or the Dexamethasone. The Letrozole and the Saizen both say may cause dizziness. I am very thankful for a flexible, work-from-home job during this time.

Rochelle - best of luck to you!  I hope this is it!

Deborah - wow, that's a lot of meds.  How do you keep the schedule of it all straight??

Brichole - I hope you are successful! Hopefully the trying is fun orngtongue.gif

AFM - I was right, I can't do anything this month due to starting my cycle on a holiday weekend when the dr. office was closed. Boo.  I'm still taking probiotics to rid the BV and it seems to be working so far.  I'm afraid to stop taking them because I do want it to be gone and not have to start the treatment all over again!  But... the only way to know if it is gone is to stop taking it and see what happens.

Lastly, BD last night really hurt on the left side.  The doc always asks if I have pain when BD but usually the answer is no.  This time YES.  I'm hopeful that won't be regular but if it is, that's a problem.

Planegreen- They give me a sheet of paper with the schedule on it. Otherwise, I'd be in big trouble. They did say it's flexible by an hour or less, which is a good thing b/c I have dress rehearsal tonight and it starts when I'm supposed to take meds. I'm glad there will not be any more rehearsals until January (if I even go back). I'm sorry for your pain and the holiday closure. That was the reason we had to really root for a short cycle for me last month or else my cycle would have been postponed a month and I wouldn't have the same RE b/c she's leaving.

Hi al- FYI: It's December. I'm already running the TTCAL thread, but thought I would help find someone to run this one. I could always do it temporarily until someone could step in, but better to have someone for the whole month.
