The "One" Thread for Nov. 5 to Nov. 11 - Page 2

Hello! I would like to jump in too! I am 34 and have two DDs who are 8 and 9. I wanted to try to have a baby before I turn 35 (next March) but we got kind of a late start.

I am on my 7th month of TTC and the last few months have been a roller coaster. My last cycle was a really weird long one (37 days). To add insult to injury, my husband and I were able to get away for one night for our anniversary. After holding off until CD37 guess who came to visit that ONE NIGHT? ugh.  I'm still bitter. It was just last weekend, I was in South Beach and feeling gross.

It was my 2nd really long cycle in a row with a really short AF (like one day), so I called my Dr., who said it sounds like I didn't O either month. She wants me to use OPKs for 3 months to see what's going on, and then set an appointment for further discussion. I've never used OPKs before and haven't temped either.

So, while I probably should be in "WTF is going on", I'm feeling optimistic and would like to be in "Waiting to O" instead :)

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hi to all the new people! Welcome =)

Sorry I haven't been on as much lately. I started a TTC Vlog and thatt has been taking up most of my free time. LOL.

I'm stll on the same cycle, GAH! SOOOOOO FRUSTRATED! I just want it to be normal already! *sigh*

anyway, CD 43 for me. No pregnancy or AF symptoms which leads me to believe it's going to be another anovulatory 50+ day cycle. I'm going to test tomorrow morning again because I'm CRAZY impatient and we will see from there. I don't expect a positive since I don't think I even ovulated but since I'm so far past my expected period I'm not sure what is going on. Honestly at this point I just want AF to come so I can start a new month.

Good luck to you all!!! I hope the boards are flooding with BFP pictures very soon! goodvibes.gif

Happy to be catching up with you all and I am glad to see new folks to share this with smile.gif

Em, I cannot fathom a 43 day cycle! Goodness gracious. Such a good attitude you have, though.

Summer, that really is just terrible timing/luck! Boooooo! I had my second at 35 and am trying for my third at 37. And I am stymied by OPKs. For me they are so hard to really read.

KM, welcome! What an exciting time for you!

Banana, so cool! Just found out that a good friend got a job with the UN in Austria! I love these international opportipunities. My BIL and his family live in Germany and have had the best time.

Sparkle, how is the symptom spotting going? I am about to join you.

AFM, I have O'd and am just moving into the TWW. We have been baby making every other day for the last week so I am hopeful. The vitex and B6 have been helpful. I am on CD16 and normally I would not have O'd by now. This means my LP should be a couple of days longer, too, as I am not expecting AF until the 23 or 24. But I am battling a sinus infection that has me dragging. Tons of fatigue. Early bedtimes but I can't sleep. And of course DS is still adjusting to DST so he as been up at 530 every day. Ack!

Starfish Totally!! I have yet to shake the mild crampy pelvic pressure/fullness feeling. Never had this before. My breasts feel tender as well and I'm rather weepy, I usually get PMS symptoms and tenderness closer to 2-3 days before AF. Of course I am reading tons into this. We shall see!!

Welcome to all the newcomers wave.gif

SparkleMaman: Fingers crossed for you!

Starfish:  How much  B6 are you taking?  Is it part of a prenatal or a separate dose?   I ask because:

AFM: AF has shown up one day early, GAH! On CD 29.  That means that I only had an 11 day LP.  I think that is on the short side.  B6 will increase that right?  I just don't know how much to start taking.   This is really only our 2nd month of officially TTC.  I am so grateful that the first time around was so easy for us,  and I am only getting a small taste of what it must be like to do this month after month.  How do you keep from putting too much pressure on yourself or your DH to make this happen?!?  Obviously, I am thinking about all the things we didn't do these past 2 months of trying...did we BD too early or too late?  what if we had BD'd just one more time?  Maybe my LP is too short? Maybe I should have taken my prenatals more religiously (i've never been good at that :)!

Ah, feel so much better already!  I haven't told many that we are TTC'ng in my life so thank you again for listening/reading.  I guess i should be moved to Waiting to O once again.

Congrats, InLove!!! That is wonderful! And how great that you weren't plagued by the early testing syndrome because you were busy. ;) That's the way to go!

I took just B6, it's a Vitamin you can buy almost anywhere... Really inexpensive. It took my LP from 9 days to 11 days... I got pregnant three months after starting it. Since it's a Vitamin though, your body will flush out whatever you don't need, just an FYI, so when your pee turns neon yellow, don't be surprised. =)

Hi everyone--

I was in the middle of a huge response last night when my iPad flaked and I lost it all--serenity now! I hope I remember everything I had to say smile.gif

Congrats InLove and definitely welcome to the new members!

Jill, 11days is a good LP so now worries. I take 300 mg of B6 a day and then vitex, too. My O date definitely moved up so instead of a 7-day LP I am looking forward to a two-week one. And with the stress of baby making I just try and keep it in perspective and keep it fun. So I seriously flirt with my DH and try to have a really great time as we try to make a baby. This means inside jokes and unlikely...um...locations. This is probably TMI, but yesterday we last our kids up with breakfast and a craft and sequestered ours.eves in the bathroom. It was hilarious and fun and I know that we have a great memory even if we did not make a baby, you know?

Sparkle, how is the calendar watching going? I'm headed to the TWW thread to commiserate with you. I did, though, freak out yesterday when I realized that I had taken ibuprofen AND an antihistamine to help with my sinuses, which was so stupid. Blergh.

Thanks everyone! We are so excited! Good luck to you all!

Don't worry too much about the ibuprofen and antihistamines, Starfish.  It's a great idea to keep things light and fun with your dh.  Ttc comes with so much pressure, it just kills the mood.
