Looking for the book "Welcome with love/Hello Baby" by Jenni Overend

hi there,

I saw a few postings with the same questions but they were all a few years old.

My midwife recommend this book for my DS in preparation of our homebirth. He's very interested in the all process but it is not easy to find a book showing the kind of birth we are preparing for.
 

Crazy prices on Amazon (up to $200!) - people really try to take advantage...

Anyone has an advice or can sell me the book if you don't need it anymore?

 If I had a copy I'd send it over.  I find that many books that have gone out of print are just really expensive.  I'm looking for Henci Goer's "Obstetric Myths", and its also $$$ on Amazon.  I've found it for as "low" as $65, but that's still alot of money for a resource to keep at home.  I'm putting it on my list of books to buy when I have gift cards.  :) New gift card philosophy: buy the one item you've been wanting no matter how expensive as long as its a not-expensive-amount more than the gift card is worth.  I dream about what it would be like to get rid of the library taxes in our area and have that chunk of change to put toward building my own library, instead of paying for a new building that is too far out of the way for me to use.  That's another rant.... anyway, *BUMP*

I haven't seen it cheaper than $40, yikes! I requested it from my library to try and get it as an inter-library loan, so am keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe that is an option for you?

I could get my book from the library, by waiting a month or two for interlibrary loan permission, but its a) really huge and going to take me awhile to bathroom-break-read my way through it, b) DH is going to try and read it and he's working too much to read it very fast either, and c) I'd really like to have a copy to reference for the future.  I'll keep an eye on this thread, and out for the hello baby book at garage sales (never seen one, but you never know!).

My local (Toronto) maternity/baby store has copies of Welcome with Love for sale for $15.
