Hi! I'm Lucy and I live in NJ. I'm 35.

Just got my first ultrasound today and there's definitely a baby in there! I went through beta hCG drama over the past two weeks (the numbers weren't doubling at quite the ideal rate my doctor wanted to see, though in retrospect it seems that everything has progressed fine so far).

No specific due date yet beyond "late July."

This will be my first (perhaps only) and we're so excited!

Hi everyone! I'm Janie, I'll be 32 when LO is born, and I live in TN. I'm a part-time WOHM but I'd love to work at home.

This is my second pregnancy. I'm due July 24-ish. I had a difficult birth that resulted in a c-section and uterine rupture with DD. I've dealt with a lot of grief regarding that, since natural birth was always on my bucket list. At this point, though, I'd be thrilled if I can carry LO until term and can do skin-to-skin and/or breastfeed within 30 minutes of birth. We'll see. I live in Knoxville, TN, and there just aren't many crunchy providers here. I don't think that's asking too much, though.

I wasn't *expecting* to be here, but I'm happy I am! :) Blessings to all of you in your pregnancies.

Hello Momma friends!

I am a SAHM of two kids, a 5yr old daughter and 3 yr old.   I will be 38 years old next month and just found out that we are expecting our third child.   We are thrilled, but I am still trying to wrap my brain around growning our family larger.   This pregnancy was not planned, and I am taking it as a gift and trying to enjoy what I pray will be a healthy pregnancy and child in our family.

I look forward to supporting the rest of you here in this journey.   I had healthy pregnancies before, and have had a cesarean with my first (with a pushy drug augmenting obgyn) and a successful vbac with my second that was midwife and doula attended in a hospital.   I will be most likely using a midwife and doula to assist with another hospital birth.

By way of proper introduction, hi!

I'm just wrapping my head around #3, EDD end of July but I'm sure it'll be August. I have a beautiful girl and a beautiful boy already, both planned. This is another animal entirely. I took out my IUD about two months ago due to discomfort and BAM. This is a hurricane babe, concocted while half the city had no power and the other half was underwater and we were all just sitting around with work/school/life stopped and swirling for that whole week. I chart. I DTD and kinda just wondered what would happen. It was just a wild sequence of events and honestly I've been so sure my family was already complete but in that strange ethereal way this person really wants to be here. I just watched it all unfold, even up to standing at the drugstore counter on the first day I expected my period, paying for toothbrushes and on autopilot I go hold on and run down the aisle to grab a pack of Clearblue. There was no mistaking that bold blue line.

I had acupuncture last night for a shoulder injury, my first time, and towards the end a needle in my ear on a major nerve for my abdomen, it just shot out and started pooling blood. The healer comes back and says yeah, there's something major going on down there with me. He looked at me then looked away, younger guy, kinda mumbling, "you know maybe it's nothing... but maybe it's SOMETHING".

If you believe in that sort of thing.

Very pleased to be here and HH9 to us all!

Hello....  My name is Rachael, I live in Michigan, and I will be 40 in April.   OH MY!

My EDD is July 11.  This will be # 3 for me, and also # 3 for my DH.  I have 2 boys 14 and 16, and he has 2 girls 14 and 16.

This was VERY unplanned.  We were just married on Sept 1.

I am not accepting this very well and have been very emotional, and really a pain in the A** for my hubby. Nevermind all the Yuck for the last 2-3 weeks..

I want to be excited, and accepting.  I am trying.  Just a very big adjustment.  The sooner these thoughts turn happy, the better.  I am hoping that once these hormones stabilize, the feelings will too..

Looking forward to sharing along the way... first dr appt is Tuesday.. should be fun... never have had a male OB, not fond.  But am in a new area, and went with a group. Comes with 4 male, 3 female.

My 1st DS was born CS he was footling breech, then 2 years later, I had an AWFUL VBAC experience with my 2nd DS.  Overdue, by 4 days, induced with pitocin, labored for what felt like 2 days, but in actuality was 29 hours. Water had been broken for almost 12 hours. Ended up getting an epidural. only took on one side, pushed for only an hour... 4th degree episiotimy, and pulled groin muscle.  Couldnt walk for a week.  worse than my CS by far!!

Honestly I have always had in my mind that if I "ever" had another, that I would immediately plan to schedule a CS..Ive told many other moms to be that.. . interesting now.. that I actually am ... that I just might not.. lol.

Good luck mamas...

Hello :)

I just had a baby in May 2012 and am due for another one in July 2013!  If this baby is anything like the other two, he/she will be here a couple weeks early though ha!  There are lots of things I don't know yet and some decisions I am still having to make concerning vaccines, breastfeeding, weaning, etc.

Hi! I'm Celia. So happy to be here! This will be baby #1, but second pregnancy. It's taken us 4 long years to get to this point, and we are so happy to finally be here. I am due on July 16th, but we won't be sharing that date with friends and family. (I'm afraid it will put too much pressure on us if baby is late.)

I plan to breastfeed, cloth diaper, and praying I can be home full time. I've been researching like crazy how to ensure baby has the best possible start by keeping things organic and natural as possible. Looking forward to this journey with you ladies and welcome your thoughts, comments and support.

Congrats to all of you!

Welcome ladies, feel free to ask us anything! We're more than happy to share our experience and research with you!

Hi, all. My name is Ami & I'm expecting baby #1 in July! I was pregnant this summer, but miscarried at 7 weeks. Today I'm almost to the 8-week point, and starting to feel hopeful. Glad to be here!

Welcome new mama's! I know the feeling of an unplanned baby as was my first. Hugs to you! Take a deep breath the good feelings will come! Excited for July!

Hi, I'm Kara. 35, first pregnancy and first child for both of us. Due July 10. Saw/heard the heartbeat for the first time yesterday and it's starting to feel like reality now. Wow.

Hey Ladies!

I'm Megan, I'll be 28 this month and am due around July 31. I'm a SAHM of a 2 year old, who is also still breastfeeding.

I never, ever, ever thought that "mom of two" would be part of my title... just like I never thought I'd be possibly tandem-nursing them, cloth diapering them, the works.

My first son was a waterbirth in a hospital birthing center. 31 hours of back labor, 1 hour of pushing - I won't say it wasn't hard work, but even with my low pain tolerance it didn't hurt as badly as I expected, and it didn't even hurt in the way I expected it to. I'm a huge advocate for unmedicated labor, especially for moms who think they won't be able to handle it. It totally changed my life to rest afterward and take stock of what I had accomplished. I could go on and on about that but I'll wait til someone wants more information :)

Anyway. With #2 I'm aiming for another unmedicated waterbirth, but I don't know if I can go back to the same hospital as before. They'd have to be willing to work with me on the stuff I've learned over the past two years so... we'll see!

That is really cool, Megan. This is exactly the option I am looking at - waterbirth in a hospital setting, unmedicated. Will be my first baby. I have low pain tolerance. So you're speaking to me, sister! thanks for sharing your story - I feel more confident reading it!

Hi!  I'm new here.  Accidentally joined the June group.  Mama-brain already.  :)  I'm about 7-8 weeks along, and this will be child number three.  My other two have just turned seven and five.  As I'm sure many of you are, I'm having a tough time with morning sickness.  Hoping to get through this time around without meds.  We'll see how it goes.  It's familiar territory, but awful to experience never the less.  I'm looking forward to connecting with other moms here.  A lot has changed since the last time I was pregnant!

Best wishes to you all,

Mama Gnome.

Mama gnome you and I are timed the same! Third babe, in 9 weeks, youngers are just 7 and 5. Brain dead and crawling through morning all day all night sickness.
I think you're in good company!

Hello!  My name is Sarah.  I am 32 and live near Seattle, WA.  We are expecting our fourth (!) child.  Our three littles are 9, 7, and 4 (2 girls and 1 boy) and this babe in womb is due July 24th.  I am a homeschooling mama (though considering enrolling my eldest two in Waldorf school next year - we'll see!  I'm not yet sure what homeschooling 3 kiddos and having a newborn will look like yet :) ! ).  I'm really excited about this pregnancy, but looking forward to getting to the end of this first trimester.  I don't ever remember being this tired and having "all day" nausea with my other pregnancies like I do this one.

I look forward to getting to know you ladies and sharing pregnancy experiences along the way!

Hi everyone! First off, congratulations!

My name is Jessica and I'll be 11 weeks on Monday and due July 6th. Everyone keeps saying I'll have my own set of fireworks for the 4th of July lol. This is my first pregnancy and now that the initial shock (it was an oopsie) has worn off I am super excited! I just turned 30 in July so think it's neat the baby and I will have the same birthday month, well maybe. I work as a web designer/content editor for a large organic and natural foods company and have a wonderful, supportive boyfriend. He's a therapist and his training is definitely coming in handy to help with some of my moods! Although, eating healthier helped with my mood swings a lot.

Hi everyone! I'm Chelsea. I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and due on July 23rd, the day after my dad's birthday. This is my first pregnancy, and we're excited to be parents. My morning sickness has been better this week, so I've got my fingers crossed that maybe it's gone for good. My first appt. was last Friday and we saw the little bean standing on its big head and heard its heartbeat (amazing!)

Lucy and Megan - I'm looking at an unmedicated hospital waterbirth too. My cousin also swears by it. Says it's the best feeling not to be drugged when you're finally holding your brand new little one.

Hi ladies!

My name's Lisa, I live in NJ, and I'm due around about July 28th. Pretty sure this will be an early August baby, but you never know. I'm hoping for a completely natural, unmedicated VBAC this time around and will be doing everything in my power to make sure that happens (starting after Christmas!).

I'm a full time SAH mom to a just tuned 2-year-old, who keeps me very busy. If anything, I'm in better shape now from chasing him around all day than I was when I became pregnant with him. Hopefully that'll help with the VBAC...

My first appointment with my midwives was two weeks ago. I've scheduled the nucal-translucency ultra sound scheduled for mid-Jan, and will hopefully be hearing baby's heart beat for the first time at our next appointment with the midwives the second week of Jan. I'm hoping that makes this seem more real. No symptoms here, but I didn't have any with the first either.

Nice to meet you ladies.

Hey everyone, I am due July 26th but I typically carry late so I don't expect it until the first week of August. We have 3 children already and are very excited about a new one on the way.
