Newbie here, help me the boards? « Back to Group Discussions

Hey guys. So I'm new to the boards as of a few days ago. Trying to get the swing of things here. I tried to PM someone but the site told me I don't have permission to PM. Is this because I'm new? Will the site eventually give me permission after a period of time?

Yes, you're right it's because your new.  Once you reach a certain number of posts (I don't know the exact number) you'll be able to PM.  I think there might be some other restrictions as well, but I can't remember what at the moment.

im fairly new and ive been able to pm for a while.. so i think its probably 50 posts or something.. maybe 100.. ?

I remember being able to PM pretty early on ... I think the threshold is a lot lower than 50.

The signature testing thread is a good one to get 1 or 2 posts in, as are other general interest threads that might appeal to you (pets, decluttering, natural body care, etc...).

You should be in the clear pretty quickly!
