Cannot enable "Send Email Notifications"

I wanted to update my subscriptions and when I clicked on the subscriptions link at the top of my page it said:

Email Notifications Are Disabled
You will not receive any emails for immediate, Daily Digest, or Weekly Digest subscriptions. To enable email notifications, check the "Send Email Notifications" preference, which is settable by clicking the Edit Account Details button on Your Profile.

I followed the instructions and clicked on the box next to "Send Email Notifications" and then clicked save.

When I went to modify some of the subscriptions on the subscription page, it still says that Email Notifications are disabled. I tried using Chorme and IE and have the same problem with both. It doesn't seem to remember when I click on "Send Email Notifications".

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

After you followed the instructions and clicked on the box next to "Send Email Notifications" and then clicked save did you subscribe to a new thread or forum? I'm just guessing at this point but usually things do not update until you take an action related to it. So if you haven't yet done so, try subscribing to a thread and see if you get notifications and if you see Email Notifications are Enabled.

Thanks for the reply. I am subscribed to this thread as "Immediate" and I only found out your responded by coming back here. I'll try again with a subscription to a new thread and see what happens.

No dice. I just went through the process, subscribed to a new thread, saw that it's been updated since I subscribed, but i got no email

There's a good chance it is a mail delivery issue. I can test it by changing your account's email to mine and see if I get subscription notifications. Would you like me to do that?

When you click now on the subscriptions link at the top of your page do you still get the message you said you did? This one:

Email Notifications Are Disabled
You will not receive any emails for immediate, Daily Digest, or Weekly Digest subscriptions. To enable email notifications, check the "Send Email Notifications" preference, which is settable by clicking the Edit Account Details button on Your Profile.
