Happy to find a support group.

My son was recently diagonsed with eosinophilic esophagitis. Before the he was diagnosed we heard it was a phase, he will grow out of it, and he is a picky eater. Finally one doctor listened. I think it is when I finally looked at the Dr and said he does not eat a thing.  I was so relived that finally got some answers. I also really wanted to find a support group due to the fact that some of my family act like this is just food allergies and he will grow out of it. I snapped on one family member and informed them what it is. I think some people would have a better chance of explaining it to the wall and getting more reaction. He was diagnosed only a couple of months ago and now we are doing the elimation of the diet. He is allergic to soy, milk, eggs, and nuts. My worries are that I need to go to work and due to this disease does not show any effects physically how am I suppose to trust someone to know how important that it for his diet when some family members does not even get it.

My son's allergist is suspecting the same diagnosis.  Right now, we are waiting to document more symptoms.  I don't want to subject ds to an endoscopy unless I'm convinced there's a strong possibility for EE.

My son makes picky eaters look good.
