Mothership - I'll send some vibes your way! I so wanted a 28th baby (to match the older siblings) but no plug, no cxt, just nada. Here's hoping you're on your way!!

Midwife appointment went fine today. BP took a jump just since it was measured at the OB on Wednesday (122/80 then, 120/90 today). But my pee was fine, no headaches, no funny vision, no swelling. She says baby feels like he's 8 and a half pounds. o.O She's going to come by on Monday to check my BP again (and I'll stop at a pharmacy on the way to church and check it there on Sunday, too, and text her the results). She did NOT schedule me for another prenatal and said, "I'll see you Monday if not before." She seems convinced that my BP spike is b/c the baby's going to come in the next couple of days. I'm not so convinced yet, lol.

I made some eggplant parm from scratch today (marinara sauce from scratch and everything), and it's in the oven and I'm going to eat that. I told my mw that I was going to eat it and she said, "And some lemon bars for dessert.' LOL. I might have to send DH to the store for that mix after the kids go to bed.

The eggplant parm (and subsequent lemon bars) were delicious, but thus far, ineffective. greensad.gif I'm still very much pregnant and very much tired of it. 40+2 today.

Off to do laundry and get all my birth supplies in one spot since there's nothing else to do for now.

UGH my family. Gah. I do NOT need this today.

So my sister calls me and asks what I'm doing. I told her that I'm working. Then she said, "Mom wants to know if you're having any contractions." AAAAAHHH!!! I didn't even say anything. I hung up on her. I texted her later and told her how my day's been going, emotionally, and then she said something about the longer a baby bakes, the smarter they are, and that maybe he'll be born on my nephew's birthday (which is 1/6 or something).

I talked to my mom a day or so ago, when she asked twice in one day if I was having contractions (via text), to please not ask me that anymore, and she's been good about that. So given what my sister said, I texted her this afternoon, too, and said, "I have been hear tears all day today about not being in labor yet and I am in no mood at all to discuss it with anyone, so please don't ask anymore either directly or having (sister) ask. All it will do is make me cry." She said that she didn't ask my sister to do that (which could very well be true, given some of the things this sister has done in the past) and told me to breathe. rolleyes.gif: She said that they're just excited for me and to not be sad.

Harmony--I'm sorry mama!  That must be very, very difficult.  Thinking of you!  Big time hugs.  grouphug.gif

I just *may* be having a baby today. Nothing on my Facebook, please. smile.gif

I lost a bunch more plug overnight and early this morning (but it seems to have stopped now?), and have been having some contractions that are undeniably labor contractions. I stopped at a pharmacy on the way to church this morning to check my BP and had to stop on the way out b/c I couldn't walk through the contraction (but I could still talk through it). An employee walking nearby saw me stop and got a little nervous and asked if I was okay or if I needed any help, lol. And during church this morning, I got REALLY hot (and continue to be warm... we're at home now and I'm comfy in just a t-shirt but everyone else is in long sleeves, lol). And I've been kind of nauseous all day. DH asked on the way home what I wanted for lunch, and I said, "Jello." I'd prepared some gelatin juice cubes, not actual "Jello" but made with juice, in preparation for today. I have some apple-cranberry ones and some apple-orange ones.

So anyway. Hopefully next time I check in, it'll be with my squishy. orngbiggrin.gif

4, 75%, baby still floating (up from a 3 and 50% a few hours ago). It's gonna be a long night, lol.

Maybe, but for lots of mamas, getting to 4 and 75% is the hard part.  So it might not be as long as you think.  Or it might.  Labor is what labor is.  You can do this, one moment at a time.

Andrea - I'm hoping you have a squishy baby in your arms soon!

This is slow going. I'm an hour away from my longest labor so far and I still have a ways to go. The contractions are trying to space out. Last time I was checked, I was a 5 and could be stretched to a 6.

2:21 a.m.-ish this morning I had my HBAC and welcomed this (not-so-)little guy! I'll have to write up my birth story later, but it was BY FAR my most difficult birth. Josiah Nathan was 9 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long. o.O

Congratulations Harmony!  Here's to coming out on the other end of some difficult births.  Happy new year!

Congratulations!! He is precious! Looking forward to hearing how labor and birth went... way to go, mama!
