AFM-I am starting to feel like I'm going to drop this baby soon.  The bits of mucus I'm losing have some blood (this is how labor started with DD2) and I have a pretty much constant backache, crampiness, and nausea.  I also just really have the feeling.  I don't think it's going to be tonight, but soon, and definitely before my due date, 12/8.  I know predictions are on the other thread, but my bet is on this Sat 12/1/12 and I would be exactly 39 weeks. Smerkin- I've had painful prodromal labor for almost a week now! Today it's not so bad, but there have been a few days that have left me completely exhausted just breathing through them.  I have no advice for you, as this is my first time with these painful "practice" contractions. Hope you can get some rest!

Still chugging along nicely over here.
Was able to sleep between some for a few hrs but not now, so am up by myself at 4 am with the cat and dog watching harry potter lol!
Feeling great because I have been able to rest and not expecting g a babe for another day or two as MW said "I'm coping well and babe is being gentle"

nothing going on here at the moment, either. My intuition this whole pregnancy has been 12/4 - will be quite surprised if I don't go into labor tonight ;)

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and have been having BH for weeks now, getting more frequent and also starting to be painful, but figuring I have weeks of it left!  Looking forward to hearing all of your birth stories!

35 weeks plus here;) - just ordered my home birth kit and am working on cleaning and organizing the bedroom today - since we have the go ahead for a home birth in the next week, even though I'm sure to be late rather than early.  Good to be prepared!  So, even though I'm a ways off from *feeling* birth-y, I'm still doing birth prep!

So fun to hear the beginning of everyone's birth stories happening! Nothing going on here at all, which is fine by me. Still have the regular bh and some crampliness but nothing that makes me go 'oh this is soon.'

I was actually awake from about 4 am to 7 am this morning with some painful contractions. I've given up on thinking this girl will come before 39 weeks (this weekend), but at least something new is happening.

does feeling miserable and on the verge of uterine and emotional explosion count as feeling birthy? i am soooooo over this pregnancy.

the past week i've been super exhausted, and a lot more achey and grumpy. it just all hit all of a sudden. and any time i walk anywhere i get a ton of twinges in my cervix. i haven't had any checks this pregnancy, and don't plan on being checked by the MW or during labor, but i caved and checked myself the other night. starting to feel squishy, but still very high and closed. part of me was happy that at least it's softening up, but part of me was disappointed that i'm not dilated at all. i've got 9 days till my parents get here, at which point i'll be 39+2, and i would be so happy to go into labor at any point after that. going to start chugging the raspberry tea, and taking a lot of walks (exhaustion allowing) this week and hope that i start feeling a lot birthy-er.

Ladies, can you all send some positive vibes my way? I've been up and in active labor pretty much since 1am this morning and am still only having super strong, intense, long contractions a few minutes apart. I lost my plug last week, and have yet to have srom. I'm just exhausted at this point. DH has been with me the whole time, and my mw did come over once to check babes heart rate. Everything looks great, I'm just at a loss as to why I'm taking so long this time around.

mamadiamond: ditto! I am so over being pregnant!!  Hang in there...

I've been a bit crampy today but nothing to get excited over... at least it makes me optimistic I won't be pregnant for the rest of my life...!

Natalie, sending you lots of great birthing vibes...either a lull long enough to rest up or quick birth. Can you try walking up & down stairs sideways to open up your hips in case there's a positional issue?

Rae - you mentioned here or on FB our prodromals seem to be on the same pattern - I was up forever last night, too. Can we both just have these babies & call it good? Please?
