Co-Sleeping With Newborn & 3 Year Old

I have a 3 year old and a 2 week old. We've been co-sleeping since day 1.  I'd like to be able to get out of the bed at naptime/bedtime and be able to leave the room without having to worry that my 3 year old will roll on the baby.  Does anyone have any solutions to do this safely?  The newborn won't stay asleep anywhere but my bed. I've tried the pack n' play, co-sleeper that sits on the bed, swing, bouncy seat, etc. and she wakes up within 10 minutes. 3 Year old is movable usually, but it's a pain to move him to another sleeping place once he's asleep. Open to any suggestions.

A pillow between them? I would just put each child on opposite sides of the bed and that worked fine.

A video monitor was the best thing we ever invested in. We were in exactly the same situation. Big girl can be a restless sleeper at times, and likes to snuggle, so I was always worried, even if I just was running out for a second. I did opposite sides of the bed, but the video monitor made it so I could relax while I was doing whatever I was doing, and not have to run and check every 12 seconds.

Oooh, I second the video monitor.  It has been seriously worth its weight in gold for us.
