Anyone else voraciously reading birth stories already? I like to read them even when not pregnant, but right now I can't get enough! LOL

I read them off and on as the mood strikes. I recently looked at some youtube videos of twin home births.

I love watching birth videos too. Still have to limit what I can do that might be seen/overheard by the kids though. At least until we tell them.

I love reading birth stories!!  I read the first half of Ina May's Guide to childbirth every time I get pregnant! :)

That's such a great book! I have it loaned to my brother and sis-in-law from when they had their first baby a year ago. I was bummed it didn't have as much impact on them as I was hoping. Can't ask for the back until we start telling people.

That book was the reason I tried for a natural birth!  Before that, I remember saying I'd take any and all drugs!

I found out with my second birth when I ended up in the hospital due to not being able to line up a home birth in Romania, it got so hard that I was like, I'll take meds now. I knew I didn't want them before, but I couldn't control myself. Thankfully, they didn't have any. Said I had to get them at 3-4 cm or I couldn't have anything. Weird, but it worked out. haha

But, now that I've done it all natural twice, I suspect I could be stronger if I had access to pain meds, but when they dangle the "candy" in front of your face at the hospital, oy.
