I must say I'm not a baby scheduler, in fact, I'm much more in favor of baby led everything but I have to return to work in 3 weeks and I have no idea how to help ease my baby into a routine. I know my mornings will be more than chaotic especially at first. We can barely get out the door now just to run an errand. Do I just have a 'game plan' kind of thing and try to get the baby into the flow of things? I've been trying to get him up by 6 am every day for a feeding and that usually works out, well sometime between 5 and 6 AM. But it is the evening stuff I'm just clueless about... with ds #1 we coslept and he reverse cycled bf'ing so he basically was just fine with feedings. With this little one, he is not good at latching yet and while we are struggling with that and I'm doing more bottle feeding which I'm not thrilled with either but too frustrated to do anything more than baby led latching, I need to figure out a night time routine. We cosleep which is so nice so at least we get that time together. Since I'm not thinking a google search will get me anything AP related for bed time routines, I'm hoping people can share theirs so maybe I can come up with something that fits us. The bed time routine for ds #1 was basically: nurse to sleep till he was almost 4 and we did that whenever he seemed tired and then carried him to bed with us when we were ready to retire for the night.
Anything will help! Thanks!
