I feel profoundly blessed to say that I labored on my own to 8cm, and birthed her vaginally without any instrumental intervention or episiotomy, and that I didn't even tear. She was early and in a hurry; I went from 5cm to baby in one hour, blessed be the little bit of gas and air and lidocaine at the end. Pics to follow when I can. Thank you all for holding us in your thoughts and hearts this week. It's been an adventure as she's just to the left of full-term (as one doc said, she's "a fragile full-term"). She was with me mostly but we were in and out of the neonatal unit. We both came home together last night (Internet, finally!) where she needs to continue to feed, feed, feed. More later.
