I made roast chicken last night. I know beyond a shadow of doubt that I removed the plastic coated pad that comes at the bottom of the chicken before I roasted it.
After roasting and stripping the chicken last night, I threw it in a pot to make stock. I woke up this morning and that plastic pad that soaks up chicken juices when you buy it was floating on the top of my stock. The only thing I can think of is that there must have been 2 soak pads and I didn't realize it.
Anyway, would you eat it? It must have not only roasted with the chicken - and we already ate the meat and the potatoes that were in the bottom of the roasting pan! - but, it also simmered in the broth overnight. Would you toss it or eat it?
