I'm trying to look on the bright side, with tomorrow being 8 days past my due date. Of course I'd love to go into labor overnight tonight, but whether or not I do, at least I feel like I've made the most of the extra days. If I hadn't gone this far, I wouldn't have gotten to...
-get well from my cold
-try (and like!) eggplant parmesan
-thoroughly clean the shower, my way
-completely unclog the sink in our bathroom -- without chemicals (gross, but honestly very necessary)
-make pumpkin muffins for now, and a loaf of pumpkin bread to freeze
-go with my big girl for her first haircut (and get my own hair cut while I was there)
-freeze a batch of my husband's yummy whole wheat tortilla shells
-have my husband take pictures of my pregnant belly
-bake a huge batch of blondies
-go to our church's potluck (with just half of those blondies)
-visit my sister and her new baby in the hospital
-reorganize my craft supplies and get them out of reach of the kids while I'm not using them
-get our phone's sim card reactivated
-use my Kohls cash to get a basket that was basically free (I am addicted to baskets!)
And if you'll let me count something this early, there's this gem that happened shortly before my due date -- we had a touching experience where an anonymous stranger paid for our dinner the first night I thought I might be in labor.
Looking at that list is really satisfying! I hope I can continue to use the time I have so well. Anyone else want to play?
