A Saner TTC: Frosty Moon - Page 7

Sending you oodles of good thoughts, Xerxella!!joy.gif

Also, to Lida and Sparkle, thank you for the compliments. I truly find it so helpful to have this community where I can put words to my thoughts and feelings - so much more so than I would if I weren't writing it out. And yes, there are some real advantages to a DW! Though, while I wouldn't have it any other way, I will just say this about "the grass is always greener"... Simultaneous PMS!

Oh Sphinxy!!...I'm laughing so hard....too true!!!

AFM: all my Xmas shopping is officially done...well, there might be a couple of last minute items that I haven't foreseen, but as far as I know, all I have left are homemade projects...now to stop procrastinating...well, maybe one more episode of Sherlock won't hurt...hehe

Wow, I've missed a lot. I had a friend visiting so I haven't been online much for the past week.

Dakipode, so sorry about your surgery, but I'm glad you seem to be doing okay.

Xerxella, Congratulations! Looks like doctor's appointment magical thinking worked. I'll send you good thoughts.

Mirpmama, Congratulations as well!

Sorry I don't have individual replies for everyone else. I'm so behind on reading all the posts.

AFM - I should have about 5 days left in the TWW. We're not actively trying until after I have my polyp removed in January, but I can't help being a little hopeful anyway.

Xerxella - ROOTING FOR THIS BEAN LOUD AND HARD!!!! I mean, rooting zen-like...

xerxella! -  I am soooo happy for you. I understand your hesitancy after so many losses. I am sending you heaps of sticky bean vibes!!! blowkiss.gif  dust.gif

AFM- 13 dpo. Tested on 11 dpo and got a bfn. I decided to call a fertility clinic tomorrow to get us both a full work up. I'm feeling very positive about getting to be proactive in finding out what's wrong. It feels really good that dh and I are on the same page and are both ready.

ROTFLMAO.gifSphinxy!! I could see that.

Lidamama I LOVE Sherlock also!! I wish they'd make more episodes, I think Season 1 only had 3 and now season 2 seems pretty short as well. I think you'd really like Downton Abbey. Have you seen the new Upstairs Downstairs? While not quite as swoon inducing as Downton, I have enjoyed watching it while waiting for Season 3 of DA.

I hope everyone's week gets off to a great start today!!

Yay Xerxella!!!!!! Thinking sticky thoughts for you!!!

Sparklemaman: No, I haven't seen Upstairs Downstairs...now I have to check it out!!! Hopefully they have it on Netflix or Youtube...I agree there aren't many Sherlocks, but each one is almost like watching a movie, right? We watched A Scandal in Belgravia last night...so good!! I also want to start Watching MI5 (or 6?); I've heard it's good too. Also, loved The IT Crowd...like The Office and Monty Python and Fawlty Towers rolled into one.

Xerxella: congratulations! Sending peace and sticky vibes! jumpers.gifgoodvibes.gif I wish fervently for you that this is your time! Please keep us posted.

Does that mean you won't be taking over the thread with the new moon? wink1.gif

Now I am going to have to check out Sherlock and Upstairs Downstairs.  I have seen Upstairs Downstairs on netflix Lidamama so you should be able to watch it.

AFM:  My prayers have been answered and I have found places to observe at for at least some of these classes (I am still waiting for an email about one more requirement).  I have two weeks left to complete them for one class so I am cutting it really close.  Thank goodness for other homeschool mom's who have connections!  On the TTC front I am currently on cd21 and 7dpo.  It's weird because this is the one month that neither of my charting apps have had problems confirming O, but it is also the one month I don't have any post-o symptoms lol.  Oh well.

Lidamama84: Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Lidamama OMG, I just discovered MI5 on Netflix, LOVE IT!! We also do not have cable and I typically watch either PBS or Netflix, hence the heavy concentration of BBC programming wink1.gif I have seen Sherlock (agreed, each episode is like a film) , Downton, MI5 and Upstairs Downstairs on the American version of Netflix (is the Canadian version different?). Also, I have only seen the new Upstairs version, it had a long run ~25 years ago as well. The new version, in its second season,  apparently picks up where the older one left off. John16n33, all are worth checking out!

Xerxella Thinking of you. Lots of sticky vibes goodvibes.gif

AFM, 7DPO here. Trying to keep calm and carry on. Doing a much better job than last month.

Hi Ladies,

I wanted to introduce myself. dakipode suggested I check out this thread and I think it's what I'm looking for in a TTC thread. DH and I just started on our 5th month of TTC and although I know it hasn't been that long I feel like I'm going absolutely bonkers and I'm starting to get a lot of anxiety that we might have major fertility problems. We're doing everything right and our timing has been impeccable, but still no dice. I also don't want to have another cycle like the last four have been -- obsessively googling and analyzing my chart, symptom spotting, having a meltdown if DH and I miss a day, enduring the frenzied build-up to O, followed by the distracting and ultimately depressing TWW in which my days are characterized not by what I did with them, but by how much closer they bring me to testing day. Given our ages, we've no real reason to get frantic just yet, so I'm trying to keep that in perspective. But it's so hard when you want something like yesterday! I feel our chances of conceiving naturally diminish with each passing month.

Anyway, a big congrats to Xerxella and thanks for listening to my welcome rant!

xx

Welcome, Oasis! I'm wondering if taking some proactive steps (things like vitex, maca or acupuncture, etc.) towards treating possible fertility problems *might* give you a feeling of peace to allow you to be relaxed about TTCing...just a thought...feel free to ignore smile.gif

John16n33: I'm sure you mentioned it in a previous thread, but what did you want to take a course to observe?? Yay for homeschooling connections! I sometimes wish I could homeschool...but I don't know that it would be in DD1's best interest...she's so very social...when we go out, she joins random groups of kids at the zoo smile.gif

Sparklemaman: Yes, the Canadian Netflix is AWFUL compared to the American one...way less selection and older seasons, etc. but it's still only 8$ a month, compared to whatever cable costs...probably around $65...and we watch very little tv once the day is done...I do miss things like watching the news, but oh well!

Devilish: sorry, I don't understand. Have I tired turning what on and off again?? Ohh...is that an IT crowd joke...??

Lidamama84: Roy says it at least once an episode during the first season. And, as a friend pointed out to me, he also bleeds every first season episode.

Xerxella and SKJ: Congratulations!! sticky, sticky beans.

*sigh*  F(#*$)@ing spotting.  9 DPO.  That usually means another failed month for me, it has every month so far.  Last night I had a *horrible* headache and I was nauseous, which is how I felt before that awful AF I had a couple months ago.

I don't think Maca is doing much for me.  When we conceived DS I was only on Vitex for one month, so I thought it couldn't have possibly done anything, but maybe it did.  Worth a shot, might as well recreate the "magic", right?  Of course, speaking of timing, if it works next month, babe will be born in September and we'll miss the school age cut off, which means an extra full year of day care costs, yay!

Welcome, Oasis84!  I'm Negative Nelly, nice to meet you.  lol.gif

Time to do my real job...pity party over...
