My son touched a garden snail

and I don't remember if he washed his hands before eating!  Do I have anything to worry about?  I've heard about meningitis and other diseases from touching them!  Anybody know about this stuff?

I wouldn't worry about it.  I am sure he's touched other things far more likely to make him sick!  Doorknobs for instances.

I wouldn't worry about it. Kids are going to touch all kinds of stuff. At least he didn't eat it!

Lol My DD is always eating those things! Gross, I know, but maybe they taste good because if there are any around I really have to keep a lookout. She is fine, though, no diseases!

I wouldn't be worried at all.  Kids are meant to explore.  I'd always remind him to wash--but if he doesn't, I doubt it would cause a problem.
